    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

It's a striker for a striker as Leigh Griffiths takes over from Odsonne Edouard for the final 15 minutes.

  2. Postpublished at 71 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

The crowd noise rises briefly as a low, fizzing cross from Kieran Tierney is cut out by a defender at the near post but the hush quickly descends again as Celtic return to sideways passes, not really getting anywhere.

There hasn't really been a sustained period of pressure.

  3. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Just a few signs that Celtic are starting to leave a gaps at the back but the Rosenborg counter-attack is wasteful as Issam Jebali slams a ridiculous shot from distance high over the top and gets a couple of sideways glances from frustrated team-mates.

  4. Substitute Jonhston 'injects pace'published at 21:21 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

Really good play by Mikey Johnston and exactly what Brendan Rodgers will have been looking for from his substitutions. Inject a bit of pace, direct play, cutting inside then driving back towards the goal-line. It looked like Sinclair was going to find the net.

  5. CLOSE!published at 62 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Mikey Johnston dips a shoulder and sets off on a run taking him past three opponents. His cross from the right edge of the box finds fellow replacement Scott Sinclair but an awkward side-foot volley drifts just wide.

  6. YELLOW CARD - Soderlund (Rosenborg)published at 60 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Callum McGregor makes a good run in behind the visiting defence but his progress is halted by a cynical tug of his jersey from Alexander Soderlund.

  7. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Here comes that switch and it's Tom Rogic and James Forrest making way for Scott Sinclair and Mikey Johnston. Can the subs help lift the tempo and bring the crowd to life?

  8. 'Celtic's attacking play is suffering'published at 21:14 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

James Forrest, in a lot of games, plays a little bit deeper to try and protect Mikael Lustig. That changes the dynamic of the team slightly. Celtic's forward attacking play has suffered because they don't have that attacking midfielder, like Stuart Armstrong, who runs beyond the strikers. And there's a lack of competition in that area.

  9. Postpublished at 56 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

It looks like Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has a double change up his sleeve, with wide men Scott Sinclair and Mikey Johnston getting ready to come on.

  10. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

The home side are starting to force the issue again as a rasping shot from Kieran Tierney is blocked by a defender in black following a good burst from Mikael Lustig on the other flank.

  11. We couldn't kill the game - Callejapublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

    FT: Villarreal 2-2 Rangers

Villarreal coach Javier Calleja said his side must learn from a game against Rangers where they ought to have taken three points.

"We started very well, but we did not get two goals clear to settle us," he said. "We did not know how to kill the game.

"Rangers have scored with two moves we should have defended better."

Calleja lamented the loss of centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori midway through the second half and he thought his side missed the Argentine's physicality.

The Villarreal coach said he had made nine changes from their weekend win in La Liga because he wants to get "almost all the players" involved early in the season.

  12. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

Tom Rogic pinches the ball near the halfway line and sets off on a gallop. He twists one way and then another, with Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor either side of him, then slaps a shot straight at the keeper.

  14. Will Celtic's wastefulness cost them?published at 21:03 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

There's just a little cutting edge lacking. When was the last time Celtic put someone to the sword early on? They just don't look like they've got the killer instinct yet. Brendan Rodgers will be slightly concerned they've not got that goal yet.

  15. Celtic 'need to up it'published at 21:01 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

    HT: Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

    Tom English

I'd be surprised if Celtic don't win this. Apart from it being good for their group prospects, they need a positive result after the goalless draw at St Mirren last Friday. This club needs to up it because the performances haven't been consistent. They do need a win.

    Did Celtic get lucky here?

Rosenborg striker Issam Jebali was booked for simulation early in the first half, but replays appeared to show Mikael Lustig clipping him with a trailing leg.

  19. HALF-TIME Celtic 0-0 Rosenborgpublished at 45+1 mins

After a slow start, Celtic were growing in menace, with Kieran Tierney prominent in the final 15 minutes of the half and visiting goalkeeper Andre Hansen making a good double save to deny Tom Rogic and Odsonne Edouard.

The visitors may be feeling aggrieved about an early penalty shout.

  20. 'Tierney has dizzy Hedenstad on toast'published at 20:48 British Summer Time 20 September 2018

    Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The full-back Hedenstad is probably getting dizzy because Kieran Tierney's turned him inside out. He's had him on toast. It's quite clear that's where the opportunities to hurt Rosenborg are. Celtic need to stretch the game as much as they can.
