Quote MessageEdouard's got to score on the rebound. It's great goalkeeping from Hansen, first to get down low, then deny Edouard at the post.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Andre Hansen responds to those words from our pundit Michael Stewart, getting down smartly to push away a low strike from Tom Rogic. The keeper is then up like a flash to touch Odsonne Edouard's follow-up effort on to the outside of the near post.

Quote MessageThe Rosenborg goalkeeper Hansen doesn't look the most assured and he fumbled Kieran Tierney's shot there. Celtic need to test him. The ground is wet, get strikes off.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
It's Kieran Tierney again and this time the 21-year-old decides to have a go himself, with his skidding shot from distance ending up in the arms of Andre Hansen as the keeper gathers at the second attempt.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Kieran Tierney has been pretty subdued so far but the Celtic full-back gets fans on their feet with a fabulous cross from the left. It just needs a touch in a busy box but it evades everyone.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Alexander Soderlund shows Dedryck Boyata a clean pair of heels to chase down a long pass and whip the ball into the centre of the penalty area but the Rosenborg striker has no support at all and Mikael Lustig can comfortably chest the ball back for Craig Gordon.
FT: Villarreal 2-2 Rangers
Daniel Candeias set up Scott Arfield for Rangers' first goal and the Portuguese winger revealed that manager Steven Gerrard had told they could secure a surprise point despite being 1-0 down at half-time.
"That was a hard game because Villarreal are a great team and played really well, but the team believed in ourselves and worked hard," Candeias told Rangers' website after the 2-2 draw.
"When we finished the first half, the gaffer said in the dressing-room to believe in ourselves and get a great result.
"I know we didn't win, but a draw is a good result for us."
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Not for the first time, Odsonne Edouard strays offside and a Celtic move comes to a halt. Rosenborg are doing well to squeeze the central areas and limit space for the home midfielders.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Dedryck Boyata is caught dithering on the ball at the halfway line but Celtic are able to get men back in time to snuff out the danger at the edge of their penalty box.

Quote MessageYou'd be expecting Edouard to hit the target. It was a wonderful opportunity to get Hansen in the Rosenborg goal working. It was a phenomenal run from Rogic - the ability he's got to control the ball with two or three men on top of him is top-drawer. It's a really nice run from Edouard - he's just got to keep it down.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Much better from Celtic as Tom Rogic drives at the Rosenborg defence and slips a lovely pass through for Odsonne Edouard but the striker lashes a first-time effort high and wide when he should really be working the keeper at least.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
It's been a bit ponderous from Celtic so far. But here's a chance to get the big men up at a corner. Filip Benkovic does well to nod the ball down into the six yard box but there's no one near in green and white to take advantage.

Quote MessageRosenborg are a better team than the one we saw earlier in the season. They're passing the ball well, the pressure's off them and they're enjoying themselves because of it.

Quote MessageJebali sold Lustig with a great little feint and it looked as if Lustig dangled his leg out. On first viewing, it looked like a stonewall penalty. The silence in the stadium suggested most people thought so too.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Rosenborg want a penalty as Issam Jebali chops back on the ball and cuts inside Mikael Lustig before going down. There was definitely contact but who caused who to fall over?
The hush inside Celtic Park suggests most fans are expecting the referee to point to the spot and there is a collective sigh of relief when the Tunisia striker is shown a yellow card by Polish official Pawel Gil for diving.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
Scott Brown does well to win possession just inside the opposition half but the Celtic captain is too quick with his pass to striker Odsonne Edouard and an offside flag halts a promising situation.
Celtic 0-0 Rosenborg
The visitors, in their black change strip, are holding rigidly to their 4-3-3 shape, while Celtic are a bit more fluid.

Quote MessageCeltic want to go and test (left-back) Birger Meling. We know he's a threat going forward, so Celtic want to force him back and ask questions of him.

The other match in Group B pits two teams with the same backers against one another, which has raised a few eyebrows...
RB Leipzig are owned by a well known energy-drink giant and RB Salzburg are formerly owned and now sponsored by them.
“May the better team win," said the company's chief executive Dietrich Mateschitz earlier this month. "It’s a great story for everyone in our family and it will be interesting and fun."
When quizzed on the matter, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers simply said: "I tend to not overthink it so much. Your job is to go and play the game whoever you are playing."
