We can only hope for improvement from either team in the final third this half. If Ireland can play two up front and move Robinson a bit closer to O'brien that will help them going forward.

In terms of Wales I think the front three needs more fluidity they've been so rigid so far.

Indeed, Callum Robinson hasn't had a touch in the Wales penalty area yet.

Harry Wilson goes off on a mazy dribble right through the middle and James McClean just takes his legs away. A booking which has been 49 minutes coming for the winger...

It's very important for Ireland to set the tempo as they did in the first half and perhaps try and make something happen. As good and as energetic as Callum Robinson has been he'll be more of a threat if he just stay a little further up the field.

James Chester does well to head clear a decent enough cross from the Ireland left.

Away we go. Let's have some 'goalmouth action'.

I thought it was a boy band coming out for entertainment when Wales were coming out.

They may be young but they have good football intelligence which is why Ryan Giggs is playing them

I'm not disappointed with the game. And I'm not disappointed with Ireland.

I certainly believe they are capable of winning the game but there has to be more energy, commitment and bravery if you like in that top third of the pitch.

I would just like to see a little more devilment. Players being a little freer. They need to be a bit more inventive and do something out of the ordinary.

I was expecting a lot more from Wales.

There's been a lack of intensity. It's not really the performance I expected, albeit we are missing some key players.

Very, very nil-nil.

Wales are lacking confidence and ideas going forward. There's a good opportunity to break quickly and Harry Wilson just over hit an attempted through ball and that's been the story of the half.

Wales have had more of the ball - 58% of possession - but largely inside their own half.

Excellent football from Ireland down the left. Eventually Matthew Smith had to throw his body in the way to block the shot. But that was really good play.

Simon: Let's just say that this game is hardly a classic.

Better - James McClean does well down the left to cut the ball back, it's turned on for Callum Robinson but the Preston man sees his shot blocked by a sprawling Matt Smith.
