Paul McKenzie: Sarri is going the same way as Conte. Wants to play Jorghino and not Kante. Also downright refusal to play Hudson-Odoi.

City are relentless with how they want the ball, how they want to move the ball, and their movement off the ball.

The most impressive thing for me is that Pep has got more out of nearly every single player at the club out of possession.

He gets so much from them out of possession, especially the attacking players, that it just makes them a far better team.

So everything is indicating a Manchester City win, but it’s a cup final and anything can happen – which is the beauty of it.

  9. Sarri warns of 'disastrous' startpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2019

Italian boss Maurizio Sarri replaced compatriot Antonio Conte as Chelsea boss last summer but his future has already been put in doubt after City thrashed his side 6-0 in the Premier League on 10 February.

That was followed up by a tame last-16 exit in the FA Cup at home against Manchester United on Monday, but Chelsea progressed in the Europa League by beating Malmo 5-1 on aggregate.

After the European game, Sarri said it will be a "disaster" if they start the final in the same manner as they did against their Swedish opponents on Thursday.

It's an absolute peach of a day at Wembley. Up at BBC Sport HQ in Salford too, and hopefully wherever you are reading this from as well.

The first piece of silverware in the English game is about to be fought for.

Yes, it may not be top of the shopping list for Chelsea or Manchester City, but there aren't many trophies available each season and winning once never does you any harm...
