Leroy Sane has really stood out in the second half. He has been superb for Manchester City.

If Manchester City play an open game against just about any team they will usually win because they have more good players than virtually anyone else.

That would take the French side into the last 16 and see the Ukrainians drop into the Europa League.

Leroy Sane was so good in City's last home game, their win against Watford at the start of December, that Pep Guardiola said afterwards that he would ask the German winger what he ate for his pre-match meal and put it on the menu for everyone else.

Whatever Sane has been snacking on lately, it looks like he is hungry for goals - his double tonight makes it nine in his past 10 matches for club and country.

The City fans want to keep feeding him too - they were chanting for him to take that last free-kick before Gabriel Jesus swung it over the bar.

'How poor has Lukaku been tonight?' says a colleague to my left.

You could substitute Lukaku's name for pretty much every man in red. Not a vintage display.
