It was a roller-coaster of a game. City dominated throughout and on the balance of play, I think they deserve this victory.

We know they've got great ability but what they've also shown is immense character.

They'll feed off the back of this game - going into Sunday and off the back of that as well - and say 'look at what we've been up against, the adversity that we've faced, and we came through it'.

    And that wasn't bad either.

Can Juve turn that around? Against Simeone's Atletico Madrid?

Ederson is booked - he needlessy gets involved in a tussle on the edge of his area and pushed a defender in the chest.

It's just a long, hopeful ball, Sterling's onside and the defender gets it all wrong. He's weak as, it's absolute rubbish defending.

Sterling has a lot of time to think about it. He's very cool. It's an awkward one. It bounces up shin-high and he sidefoots it into the far corner. It's another brilliant finish.

Getting it back to 2-2 would have been a brilliant result. Getting it back to 3-2 is absolutely incredible.

Who cares about VAR now in the Manchester City camp?!

Raheem Sterling has won it on the break, just a punt forwaeds from Ederson, Sterling goes shoulder to shoulder with Bastian Oczipka, who wants a foul but won't get one and Sterling sidefoots into the corner.

Lovely finish. To the game, and to the goal...

What an unbelievable strike! Sane's only just come on. It's perfect, he won't hit a better free-kick all season.

The way he hits that, it's a very difficult skill. He opens up his body, that stabbing motion with very little follow-through, to get the dip, the bend - it's an incredible finish.

That makes this a very good night for Manchester City if you ask me. Given the fact they're down to 10 men, given the fact they will feel aggrieved about the first penalty and given the fact that they have been largely dominant.

    SENSATIONAL!

Against his old club, Leroy Sane steps up and hits a free-kick into the top corner from at least 25 yards.

Wow what a goal! He addresses the ball straight on, almost a fast bowler's run up, and hits it with the inside of his left foot, bending it over the wall and away from the keeper, right into the top corner. Might even kiss the inside of the post!

2-1 isn't the worst scoreline in the world, considering the situation City are in now. You thoroughly expect them to score at the Etihad.

I just wonder, will this turn Manchester City fans even more against the Champions League and Uefa.

    Diego Godin

That is a BIG goal! Atletico have a two-goal lead and it's the other centre-back who's got it...

Set-piece comes in, Mario Mandzukic is in there again defending and Diego Godin mops up the pieces to slam in from a tight angle. Deflection off Cristiano Ronaldo in fact...
