Wijnaldum has made an instant impact.

Then it was Alexander-Arnold with the corner, Van Dijk was too strong for Pique and a backheel straight at the goalkeeper.

And now a great save at the other end! Luis Suarez, panto villain, is played in on goal again and his low shot is clawed away by the Brazilian!

It was Lionel Messi who found the pass. Of course.

And a chance - Trent Alexander-Arnold's corner is a good one, Virgil van Dijk hooks it on goal and it's straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Both sides with three shots on target so far. Liverpool will need to find at the very least two more. Sadio Mane is having some game, spinning away in the centre circle, getting into the box but Sergi Roberto makes a fine covering tackle.
