    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Spurs yet to have a shot on target, and Harry Kane has only had five touches. Not enough to even assess how fit he even is to be honest.

Finals are rarely very good games and I fear this may be the same. Plenty of time yet.

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Half an hour in, and we've not seen much in the way of quality. Hugo Lloris tries to play out from his own area and the high pressing of Liverpool forces him to go long.

  4. 'Both managers unsettled'published at 20:31 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Sean Dyche
Burnley manager on BBC Radio 5 live

Both managers will be unsettled by the amount of turnovers in the middle of the field. Too many times the ball is getting turned over and both will be really disappointed with that so far.

If that means we get penalty corners Richard, I'm all in.

Pinged to the D and then struck on goal...

James M: You are gonna see an awful lot of penalties given for handball next season if that Sissoko one is anything to go by.

Richard Cohen: Football's going to become like hockey, where playing the ball into an opposing player's foot to win penalty corners is a skill. Striking the ball at an arm is on its way to becoming a tactic.

Mark Davies: Since Liverpool scored, they haven't put a pass together. Not the time to sit in.

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Moussa Sissoko mops up play and finds Hugo Lloris. Spurs are still on top in terms of possession but the only stat that matters is in Liverpool's favour.

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Andy Robertson and Kieran Trippier converge as Spurs clear a corner and look to counter. Trippier goes down holding his face but it was more of a swat to the eye than a proper swinging arm.

Poch is not happy, and the ref comes over to calm him down.

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Mohamed Salah’s opener for Liverpool is the second fastest goal in a Champions League final, only behind Paolo Maldini (00:50) for AC Milan versus Liverpool in 2005, as I mentioned earlier.

Engaging, entertaining game. It's very Premier League, high pace stuff. Andy Robertson bends in a belting cross but it's very well defended beyond the far stick.

Trent Alexander-Arnold whips in a corner, Hugo Lloris comes out and punches it away. Well Played.

I think that is the future of handballs Ethan. Aim for the hands.

Christian Eriksen plays a gem of a pass into the run of Son but Trent Alexander-Arnold gets across to make a challenge, before Jordan Henderson mops up. Spurs are looking slick here.

Does anyone else think it looks like Mane flicked that up onto Sissoko's arm deliberately? Mane saw him pointing and thought he'd flick it up and take a chance.

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Our boss, and those Spurs fans who were horribly delayed, are in their seats now. They only missed a penalty, a goal and some controversy. Never mind.

Moussa Sissoko defends well to see out Andy 'humble origins' Robertson.

  15. 'It's a penalty'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

    Robbie Savage
Ex-Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

I'm not sure Liverpool are playing that well.

Spurs have come into the game since the early penalty.

I do think it is a penalty. The way VAR is being used in the Champions League, that is a penalty.

  16. CLOSE!published at 17 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Strike! Trent Alexander-Arnold lines up a fizzing drive from a good 30 yards out, pings it brilliantly and it flies just wide of the far corner!

That would have been some goal, as a female pitch invader briefly halts play...

  17. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

We've had one shot on target so far but it's a penalty from Mo Salah which has put Liverpool ahead.

Spurs have had plenty of the ball but haven't looked like hurting Liverpool at all yet.

  19. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

What a ball that is! Jan Vertonghen looks up and pings a ball 60 yards into the path of Kieran Trippier down the right, really stretching the pitch out but there's no cross at the end of it.

    Better from Spurs.

  20. Mane the big dangerpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 1 June 2019

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Madrid

Mo Salah may be the man on the mark but it is Sadio Mane who is really putting the frighteners on this Spurs defence. Pochettino's men just need to clear the heads a bit here.
