    Preston 3-1 Brentford

Thomas Frank is still probably feeling his way into management after taking charge of Brentford last week.

He's staring a second defeat in the face, so his half-time team-talk will have been crucial.

The Bees start well, and Nico Yennaris and Sergi Canos have efforts saved by Preston keeper Chris Maxwell in quick succession in the first minute of the second half.

    Bolton 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Forest go in ahead then at the break, thanks to a sizzler from Joe Lolley.

Bolton have been productive too, showing some attacking intent, but bar a couple of half-chances, they've not unduly troubled Costel Pantilimon.

    Decent opening 45 entertainment wise.

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    West Brom 0-2 Derby

Derby go in two goals ahead and they deserve it.

The first was a smart finish from Jack Marriott after he picked up a loose backpass, the second was a fine finish by Tom Lawrence after a fine team move.

Derby look threatening every time they come forward and are hassling West Brom with high-intensity pressing.

The Baggies - top scorers in the top four divisions in England - have hardly threatened Scott Carson in the Rams goal.

  5. CLOSE!published at 20:47 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    Bolton 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Joe Lolley is on fire. Picked out on the left by a sweeping crossfielder, he takes a touch, skirts inside the covering defender and whizzes a shot which Ben Alnwick can only parry but is cleared.

Forest turning on the style when they get the chance...

  7. Postpublished at 20:43 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    Bolton 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Bolton finishing this half strongly with around five minutes to go to the break, but Forest always look dangerous on the counter with the pace they possess in midfield.

They're getting into dangerous areas, even if Costel Pantilimon hasn't been hugely inconvenienced. The spread of possession has trickled Bolton's way.

    West Brom 0-2 Derby

Straight up the other end and West Brom claim a penalty.

He was tripped by Scott Malone after the defender clipped his heels, but Rams keeper Scott Carson claimed the loose ball.

Boos ring around The Hawthorns as referee Robert Jones turns down their appeals.

    West Brom 0-2 Derby

West Brom are stirring into action.

Harvey Barnes finds Jay Rodriguez with a cross-field ball and the striker controls on his chest before drawing a save from Rams keeper Scott Carson with a fizzing half-volley.

From the resulting corner, Craig Dawson sends a volley over the bar.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    Preston 3-1 Brentford

Preston raced into a 3-0 lead inside 23 minutes, but Sergi Canos has given the Bees hope of a comeback with a long-range stunner.

You wouldn't have thought the hosts had won just one of their past 12 Championship games on this form.

  12. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    West Brom 0-2 Derby

Derby left-back Scott Malone draws Baggies goalkeeper Sam Johnstone into a save following another flowing team move.

After Tom Lawrence has an effort deflected behind, Johnstone then has to palm away the corner.

    Derby are looking very threatening.

    Leeds 1-0 Ipswich

    Leeds celebrateImage source, Rex Features

Some of the Leeds football has been majestic in the opening 45 minutes and they had a goal to savour from Kemar Roofe, powering in a header from a Pablo Hernandez cross.

Ipswich have been dogged, grafting to keep out the home side who have had plenty of the ball.

They have been in the right areas on occasions but Marcelo Bielsa's side know how to defend as well as attack, and it's been easy pickings.

    Preston 3-1 Brentford

Preston keeper Chris Maxwell spills a long-range shot from Romaine Sawyers, but the home defence scramble it away for a corner.

There's one minute to the break.

  16. Postpublished at 20:29 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    Bolton 0-1 Nott'm Forest

Bolton looked to get Josh Magennis away there with a slide rule pass and he had the pace to get in behind the Forest defence...

However, as he was being guided away from goal he was unable to wrap his foot around the ball and get a meaningful shot away. Trickler in the end.

That should encourage the Trotters though, he had the two centre-halves on toast there, and gave them a headstart.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    West Brom 0-2 Derby

West Brom defender Craig Dawson goes into the book for a foul on Tom Lawrence which halted another Derby counter-attack.

  18. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 24 October 2018

    Bristol City 0-0 Hull

Not quite sure how this one is still 0-0 as half-time approaches. Bristol City's Josh Brownhill shoots from 20 yards and his powerful effort slams back into play off the post.

    Unlucky.

Derby’s fans cannot believe their luck.

After Albion’s gift of a first goal from that sloppy Jay Rodriguez back pass, at least the Rams’ second goal just five minutes later had a bit more creativity about it.

And it’s made the visiting fans so happy, they are, quite literally, bouncing.

“We’re going to bounce in a minute," they promised, before serving up what, it has to he said, was a beautifully-choreographed imitation of the Baggies’ fans' famous "Boing Boing" celebration.

    Leeds 1-0 Ipswich

Leeds piling on the pressure now, and Ipswich just about staying above water even if they do trail by that header from Kemar Roofe.

Luke Ayling got into the box and tried to get a shot away but it looped up harmlessly, while a testing, teasing corner from Pablo Hernandez saw Kalvin Phillips just unable to guide it on target.
