  1. CLOSE!published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

So nearly the opener! Jamaal Lascelles heads down a set-piece, looks like it's heading into the far corner but Denis Odoi just about manages to hack the ball up over his own crossbar. Newcastle close to the breakthrough.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Brighton

Even closer for Bournemouth! Brighton clear not one, but two efforts, off the line.

First Callum Wilson is put through, scuffing his shot which allows Bernardo to clear with a nifty backheel. The Brighton defender clatters into the post as a result, but it's worth it.

And then the Seagulls hack clear again when Joshua King is denied by Mat Ryan.

The game has burst into life!

Lovely finish. Redmond has suffered in recent years but he looked a different player last week. He can get fans off seats. Good move back to front and good start for Southampton.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:17 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

How is Pedro winning a header at a corner? He flicks one right across goal and it needed the merest touch from David Luiz's hair to put Chelsea in front. The defender misses it by inches...

    Bournemouth 0-0 Brighton

Presentable opening for Bournemouth. Skipper Simon Francis dinks in a cross from the right, Callum Wilson rising highest to glance just wide.

That could have been the start that the Cherries needed after losing seven of their past eight games.

GOAL - Huddersfield 0-1 Southamptonpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Nathan Redmond (15 mins)

Terence Kongolo, look away now. The Town defender gets his legs in a tangle and does a full Bambi on ice/Traore at Turf Moor routine.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg slides a pass through, Kongolo can't cut it out and falls over, and Nathan Redmond is able to run through on goal and finish high at the near post.

    Fine finish.

    Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

Fulham could do without that - goalkeeper Sergio Rico makes a real mess of a routine clearance, barely clears the penalty area. But they get away with it and clear the danger.

  8. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

A rare Palace break sees Wilfried Zaha go tumbling in the City half. Ref Andre Marriner is not impressed, neither is Roy Hodgson. Looks like the Palace boss mutters for his player to "get on with it". Or words to that effect.

Moments later, City exploit the space left behind and Leroy Sane fires into the side-netting.

  9. CLOSE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Sublime cross from Marc Albrighton, no other word for that, Wes Morgan rises between two defenders but he can't steer his header on target.

    Good opening for the Foxes!

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Either someone's had a bulk trip to the club shop, or every Leicester fan in the away end has been given a Christmas present in the form of a LCFC bobble hat today.

Ben Chilwell drives into the area and forces David Luiz to do some sharp defending.

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

City get their third corner in quick succession when Nicolas Otamendi's header from the second is deflected over the Palace bar.

And the home side go even closer when another Otamendi effort is diverted goalwards by a Palace body. Keeper Victor Guaita scrambles clear.

  12. When will Palace get a kick?published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

Just the 92% of possession for City in the first five minutes at the Etihad. Palace managed three passes in that period, and one of them was a goal kick.

  13. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Southampton

Jonas Lossl gets away with one! The Huddersfield keeper spills a routine cross from Matty Targett, it's then just abot cleared out in panicky fashion to the edge of the box where Oriol Romeu is waiting to drill in a shot which the keeper holds well.

    Nervous times for the hosts.

  14. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

Our possession stats don't kick in until 15 minutes or so, but when they do it will be heavy weighted in City's favour.

Palace boxed in, organised with two lines of five behind the ball. City probing.

Bobby: With West Ham's recent form, I feel as if Santa may have switched from red to claret & blue. Is it really possible the Hammers could win 5 consecutive league games for the first time since February 2006? You betcha!

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

The Olympic Stadium is a tricky place to go these days, isn't it? West Ham have won their past three league matches at home, although they've not had a sniff yet.

Plenty of possession for Watford, little penetration.

James Maddison gives away a cheap free-kick and again Kasper Schmeichel doesn't look 100% confident in coming to deal with it. Deal with it he does though.

    Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

Strong start from Fulham, all in red today, as one-time Newcastle misfit Aleksandar Mitrovic gets a shot away but it's an easy hold for the keeper.

At the other end, Tim Ream gets himself in a tangle with Salomon Rondon and he's a touch lucky not to concede a penalty. I think he just got the ball but he didn't really know where the striker was...
