  1. 'I fear for Palace'published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Stephen Warnock
    Ex-Liverpool defender on Final Score

City should have already scored before they did, they look up for the game. I fear for Crystal Palace. Wilfried Zaha is supposed to be up front but he is so isolated when he get the ball they've got no where to go.

  2. 'Great run'published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 1-0 Crystal Palace

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It's a great run, the timing of it. It was right on his head and into the far corner, no chance for the keeper. And it was a great ball by Fabian Delph, with his wrong foot.

City's two advanced midfielders - Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva - are the hardest players on the pitch to pick up because they're always on your shoulder and you're looking at the ball.

  3. 'Clinical penalty'published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    West Ham 0-1 Watford

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

Very clinical. Troy Deeney never lacks self confidence. The perfect man to take the penalty.

    Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

Alfie Mawson is in a spot of trouble here - his own goalkeeper Sergio Rico has just punched him clean on the jaw, with both fists. The keeper was quick to call for assistance, that was a clean connection after the centre-half had headed the ball away...

    Troy Deeney

Lukasz Fabianski has saved three of Troy Deeney's penalties. Not this time...

The Watford skipper drills a powerful penalty into the top right corner as Fabianski dives the other way.

And, just for good measure, Deeney punches the corner flag in celebration and goads the irate Hammers fans.

    Ilkay Gundogan

Ah. Palace's game plan is ripped up.

Manchester City get their breakthrough and it is a German one-two.

Leroy Sane clips up a cross from the left flank, Ilkay Gundogan arriving to nod in a header which Victor Guaita barely sees, let alone saves.

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Eden Hazard gets played in on goal - is this the chance? No, he's given offside. Tight.

  8. PENALTYpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

Watford have a penalty! It's their first one of the season after Fabian Balbuena clumsily hacks down Roberto Pererya.

The Hammers defender stays down injured and it is a long wait for Troy Deeney....

Would you be surprised if we told you it is still all City? Thought not. Leroy Sane shoots, straight at the keeper. Palace holding on.

  10. 'Brooks a fantastic find by Howe'published at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Bournemouth 1-0 Brighton

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

David Brooks has been impressive. It is thought you can't go to the lower leagues and bring good players up any more so credit to Eddie Howe.

He has shown intelligence to go into space, move defenders around. I've watched him a few times and he's impressed in the four months he's been in the Premier League.

    Chelsea 0-0 Leicester

Really good football from Chelsea, they pop three passes around, first time, to cut open the Foxes lines but when the ball does get cut back to Cesar Azpilicueta he leans back and smashes it over the bar.

  12. Postpublished at 15:26 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

Watford are knocking at the door. Jose Holebas points to where he wants Kiko Femania to knock an angled pass into the Hammers box, the Greek player meets it with a run from deep.

But that sprightly youngster Pablo Zabaleta gets back quickly to close down Holebas and stop him shooting.

    Newcastle 0-0 Fulham

Fulham seeing plenty of the ball but they've created pretty much nothing since that very early shot from Mitro. Could be a long day ahead for both sets of fans.

  14. Postpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Huddersfield 0-1 Southampton

These are the sort of home games Huddersfield really need to be winning if they are to stay up. There's no Aaron Mooy and it shows at the moment.

  15. 'Pellegrini success under the radar'published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    West Ham 0-0 Watford

    Stephen Warnock
    Ex-Liverpool defender on Final Score

Manuel Pellegrini has done very well at West Ham. He's said nothing controversial about his players, just steadied the ship under the radar. That's what fans wanted, they wanted investment and he was a big integral part of that plan.

Jayraj: Pep's decision to start John Stones in the midfield due to Fernandinho's absence is certainly surprising. Stones seems to struggle in the starting minutes as he has already lost possession more than twice.

Andy: The one area of the pitch that I don't think we have a good replacement for is 'The Fernandinho' role, Stones is not good enough.

    David Brooks

Top drawer. The fantasy football legend that is David Brooks puts Bournemouth ahead!

After going close a few minutes ago, Eddie Howe's side take the lead when Brooks jinks forward from midfield and cracks a low reverse shot with his left foot into the bottom corner.

Brighton keeper Mat Ryan doesn't have a chance. That's the Cherries' first goal in four matches and about six hours of football.

  20. 'Bring back Mourinho'published at 15:19 Greenwich Mean Time 22 December 2018

    Man City 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

City are yet to make the breakthrough but their fans are enjoying themselves - singing "bring back Mourinho" in reference to the recently departed Manchester United manager and his less than glowing record during his time across town.

They have barely finished belting out a couple of choruses about Jose when Leroy Sane fires into the side-netting from a tight angle - everyone near my spot in the press box on the halfway line was up on their feet... they thought that was in.
