Andrew: I wonder what Rafa will be saying about the need for VAR after watching the offside decision against Rondon earlier in the game. At least he will have it in the cup next week.

    Leicester 0-0 Cardiff

Leicester are being invited to spread the ball wide thanks to a narrow-looking Cardiff side (average positions map on the right) and that's exactly what the hosts are doing.

They are able to spread the ball around in space and are dominating possession at the King Power. Still not too many chances being created though.

Good defending from Everton's Yerry Mina as he gets across to snuff out the danger of Pascal Gross and Davy Propper bundling their way through to goal.

The two Isaacs are falling out. Watford's Isaac Success plants his elbow in Isaac Hayden's face and the Newcastle man is in a heap on the turf. A bit of magic spray and a quick assessment from the medical staff and he looks fit to carry on.

Anthony: Rondon with a beauty of a header to make it 1-0 from a saucy Ritchie cross. We love him at St James’ Park and he is more than worthy to wear the famous number 9 shirt!

Ruben Neves's showreel includes some sublime long-range strikes. That one is heading straight for the cutting room floor.

The Wolves midfielder scuffs one well wide from 20 yards.

The visitors have it all to do and have been kept at arm's length so far.

When you have a player in the box like Salomon Rondon, it’s all about the quality of the cross.

Rondon’s in a great position in the area but it’s a superb delivery from Matt Ritchie.

Gentle reminder that Newcastle have never beaten Watford in a top-flight game at Vicarage Road. This would be a big result if they can hang on for another hour.

    Looooooong way to go.

It’s a fantastic strike from Kane but the goalkeeper has to do better.

It’s not right in the corner of the goal and he’s got his hands to it. He should save it.

    Matthew Upson

When I saw Harry Kane chop onto his left foot, I thought he would cross it. He has another touch and there's no difference between his left and right foot with how clean he hits it. The power takes it into the far corner.

Absolutely brilliant strike from Harry Kane.

Paul: I honestly did not know that Harry Kane had a left foot - what an absolute belter!

Tattz: Never mind an MBE, that strike was worthy of a knighthood, sainthood and a coronation all in one. What a player Harry Kane is.

What a strike from Harry Kane. He cuts inside and the bend on it – on his left foot as well - is extraordinary.

I don’t think Patricio is even thinking Kane is going to unleash a shot there. I think it takes him completely by surprise.

It's nice play from Christian Atsu on the edge of the box and he slips it into the path of Matt Ritchie out on the left wing.

Ritchie's cross is pin-point and it finds Salomon Rondon five yards out. The Newcastle striker smartly heads it into the middle of the net.
