    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

You can see how Paul Pogba is brimming with confidence.

He's playing like the kid at school who had a contract at an academy and would dominate things on the school field.

He's demanding the ball and neatly flicking it around corners.

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Liverpool have had 75% of the play so far.

Any danger of a goal anywhere?!

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Everton

And that Southampton corner was dangerous! Danny Ings won a header at the near post and Jordan Pickford has to be at his very best to react, spring to his left and tip the ball clear on the bounce. Fine save from the England/Everton Number One...

    Newcastle 0-0 Cardiff

The Newcastle fans are going their anti-Mike Ashley songs. "Stand up if you hate Ashley" is followed by "We want Ashley out".

The Newcastle owner is in attendance at St James' today. He's unmoved.

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Every piece of movement is quick from Liverpool. They are zipping it about and moving players around. Crystal Palace have a problem, Zaha is not following Milner when he goes and breaks down the right, and he is getting into loads of space in dangerous areas.

    Southampton 0-0 Everton

Everton's first real flurries of attack as they twice get Ademola Lookman into the game. Twice he beats his man on the right and stands up decent crosses but there's nobody there to meet them.

Saints then counter through Nathan Redmond and Matt Targett wins a corner...

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Newcastle 0-0 Cardiff

    Top stop.

Ayoze Perez makes what is becoming a trademark run to meet a cross at the near post and flicks a header on goal but Cardiff keeper Neil Etheridge sticks up a palm to flick the effort over.

That's as close as we have come.

Kyle: I'm a big Rafa fan but its disappointing seeing Newcastle play 5 at the back today. We are at home to Cardiff for goodness sake. It's not like we are against City, Liverpool or Spurs. Too defensive.

David: Newcastle clearly starting as they mean to go on, with aimless balls drifting out of play...

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Still Liverpool dominate, still they are yet to find a way through. Roberto Firmino pulls off a nice little turn about 25 yards out and gets a shotaway, but it's always rising and sails into the Anfield Road end.

  10. CLOSE!published at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Oooooh. That's a decent chance for Victor Lindelof and Manchester United. He hangs in the air to meet a corner from Ashley Young but only manages to glance a header wide.

The Brighton defender probably just did enough to put the Swedish centre-back off.

  11. Postpublished at 15:10 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Southampton 0-0 Everton

Saints look very bright, moving the ball around nicely in midfield with Liverpool loanee Danny Ings looking a menace up top. Idrissa Gueye had to be sharp to cut out a pass as Everton were a bit short-handed at the back.

  12. 'Waves of attack all afternoon'published at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Pat Nevin

No one has told James Milner he's playing right-back! A brilliant ball through to Matip, they are getting everybody forward and it will be waves of attack all afternoon for Palace.

    Bournemouth 0-0 West Ham

Bournemouth were excellent early on in their previous game against Everton, even if they did fall to a 2-0 defeat.

They've had the first chance here against West Ham but David Brooks can't get his header on target from a Callum Wilson cross.

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

Julian Speroni is back in the Palace side after a long time away, and he shows he's still got it. He makes himself big and gets his angles spot on to beat away a shot from Joel Matip. Lovely pass from James Milner in the build-up.

    Watford 0-0 Burnley

Fine start from the hosts, as Ken Sema is now close to smuggling in the opener at the back post after Troy Deeney had won a header. Watford are bang in form of course, they've lost just one of their last seven in the league.

  16. Postpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Liverpool 0-0 Crystal Palace

All Liverpool so far, as you'd expect. Palace camped in their own half, two banks of five.

  17. Postpublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Into the wall from Pogba. Not his best effort.

It has been all United so far mind.

  18. Postpublished at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Man Utd 0-0 Brighton

Here's an early chance for Manchester United.

Dale Stephens brings down Ander Herrera on the edge of the box.

It looks like Paul Pogba will take the free-kick...

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:04 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Watford 0-0 Burnley

Watford should be ahead! Straight away it's Gerard Deulofeu who is played in by Troy Deeney, he's in on goal, one-on-one but it's well saved by Tom Heaton. He has made a huge difference to Burnley since he came back into the side.

Good save - but he should have scored...

    Newcastle 0-0 Cardiff

Cardiff have been positive early on against Newcastle. They win a corner and send the big boys forward...

    Not to be this time.
