    Tottenham 0-0 Newcastle

The Newcastle back three below are being supported early on by the two wing backs.

It's not giving Spurs much to go at in a quiet opening few minutes. Moussa Sissoko on the ball in midfield is presented with a blanket of away shirts.

It's cautious but resilient. Kieran Tripper tries to run in behind but the art of this defending shines through as Sissoko has to force the pass and it's way too heavy.

Toby Alderweireld is sharp to beat Ayoze Perez to a ball on halfway. He's pressured but mops up nicely. Spurs come forward but the Newcastle back three is supported by two deep wing backs, making it a five.

    No way through.

Son Heung-min with the stepovers and trickery of a man with supreme confidence. He's to the left of the area and eventually gets crossing space but Martin Dubravka gobbles it up.

We have players in the tunnel. Hugo Lloris and Martin Dubravka exchange a handshake. The players will walk out into a partially filled Wembley.

Dramatic music plays, mascots line up. The Newcastle mascot is in short sleeves. Good lad.

Tottenham always seem to find a way, they think they are back in the title race, just a couple of points away from City. They are building a £1bn stadium so if you look at total expenditure they are spending just as much as everyone else.

Johnny Magrinho: Absolutely inexplicable from Pochettino to bench Llorente (who basically won them their last game) and Rose who had a good game too. Utterly ridiculous how this new age manager rotates almost compulsively just to let us know they’re “working their magic.” Baffling.

I could play this snowmen who look like footballers game all day.

This one even has headphones on. Give him an overpriced toiletries bag and he'd be legit.

The last of the players jog off the pitch at Wembley and disappear down the huge tunnel. Almost the entire upper tier is empty. I'd be surprised if there are 30,000 in place...

Kyle: Despite Newcastle getting a brilliant result against Manchester City and we were excellent on Tuesday. I think Spurs will win 2-1 today. The front 4 of Lamela, Son, Lucas Moura and Son will be too much for Newcastle. It's a shame Almiron is out to.

Cannot believe Llorente is on the bench today, would have thought after his winner in midweek that he would be flying and go on a goal spree Poch obviously looking to get at Newcastle with pace

    Everton v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

Wolves will be confident of further dampening the mood around Goodison Park as they head to Merseyside on the back of six wins in the last 10 games, and two points ahead of their opponents.

Minutes after the FA Cup exit at Millwall, one of my Evertonian friends sent me a message: 'That's our season over in January'. Marco Silva has to try and rid that feeling around the club. Although they didn't play well in midweek, the win and clean sheet at Huddersfield was a start.

This match will be a different test though. They will be more than aware of how Wolves have ruffled the feathers of bigger names than Everton already this season. The Black Country side are on course for the highest-placed finish by a newly-promoted team for 18 years., external
