Half chance for St Johnstone. A corner kick is headed back across goal by Jason Kerr, but it's easily dealt with.

The home side are seeing a lot of the ball but not really doing anything with it.

  4. CLOSE!published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Mirren 0-1 Aberdeen

So close to a second goal for Aberdeen. Connor McLennan meets Niall McGinn's cross at the front post and nods it across goal, although it may well have been ruled out anyway with Stevie May adjudged to have pushed a defender.Moments later and McLennan races down the right and crosses for Sam Cosgrove, whose looping shot is easily saved, but the Dons have a spring in their step now.

  5. Ice cool from Motherwellpublished at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Johnstone 0-2 Motherwell

Motherwell have been excellent. Sharp, clever and more up for the fight.

That penalty save has given them another shot in the arm.

It must be tough for those St Johnstone players at the moment. It’s just not going their way.

The almost freezing rain continues to thunder down.

  6. 100mph!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Ayr United 2-1 Ross County

    Kenny Crawford
BBC Sport Scotland at Somerset Park

What an incredible start! This top-of-the-table clash is definitely living up to its billing!

County silencing Somerset Park by going in front through Mullin’s eighth goal of the season - a real beauty of a volley.

But Ayr wasting no time in getting back into it, with Lawrence Shankland’s strike rate now up to 28 goals in 24 appearances this season.

Yet that is still one behind Queen of the South's Stephen Dobbie!

    Stevie May

Stevie May scores just his second goal of the season, driving his penalty low and hard to the right hand side, with the goalkeeper going the wrong way.

    Aberdeen goal
  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

Greg Stewart should be scoring that. He's played clean through on goal but fires straight at Jack Hamilton in the Dundee goal.

  9. PENALTYpublished at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Mirren 0-0 Aberdeen

Niall McGinn's free-kick is tipped over the bar, but Dean Lyness - on his St Mirren debut - brilliantly tips the ball over the bar.

But, from the resultant corner, Andrew Considine is pulled down in the box and Aberdeen have a penalty.

  10. GREAT SAVES!published at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

Now Dundee have a terrific opportunity. Glen Kamara plays in Jesse Curran, but Daniel Bachmann comes off his line to block the shot.

From the resulting corner, Genseric Kusunga's head-flick finds Andy Boyle, who is also foiled by goalkeeper Bachmann.

  11. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Johnstone 0-2 Motherwell

It really doesn't look like being St Johnstone's day here...

The hosts are just thrown a lifeline as Motherwell's Charles Dunne through an arm towards the ball in the visitors' box. A clear penalty, but St Johnstone's Matty Kennedy watches in horror as Mark Gillespie throws himself low to tip away his effort.

Stunning stuff at McDiarmid Park so far.

  13. Logan to the rescuepublished at 15:29 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Mirren 0-0 Aberdeen

Shay Logan saves Aberdeen with a brilliant last-ditch tackle.

Simeon Jackson plays through Ryan Edwards, who is one-on-one with goalkeeper Joe Lewis, but Logan races back and robs him of the ball just as he was about to shoot.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

That could not have been much closer.

Kilmarnock win a free-kick not far outside the box and Eamonn Brophy bends the ball round the wall and the post.

  17. Saints caught very coldpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Johnstone 0-2 Motherwell

St Johnstone began their eight-match unbeaten run with a win against Motherwell.

At this rate, the Steelmen look like ending it.

A terrible start for St Johnstone in terrible conditions. It’s been six years since Motherwell last recorded a win here.

  18. Postpublished at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    St Mirren 0-0 Aberdeen

Niall McGinn makes a driving run through the St Mirren defence, but the winger's shot drifts away from the top corner and goes wide. Best chance of the game so far.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 15 December 2018

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

What a chance for Kenny Miller. Glen Kamara flights a free-kick into the Kilmarnock box and the Dundee striker is left absolutely free right in front of goal only to sidefoot the ball wide.
