    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

All Leicester so far, Brendan will like what he sees. James Maddison gets into the area, cuts the ball back and Jamie Vardy has a shot blocked by Shane Duffy, and Harvey Barnes can't hook the loose ball home.

Terrific zip and movement from the home side though...

Former Swansea striker Gylfi Sigurdsson is getting plenty of boos from the Cardiff faithful when he's on the ball.

The Newcastle game is a later kick-off, remember.

Burnley’s Peter Crouch has scored against Newcastle with four different clubs in the Premier League (Aston Villa, Liverpool, Southampton, Stoke City).

Only Robbie Keane (Aston Villa, Coventry City, Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur) has scored against Newcastle with as many teams in the competition.

    Leicester 0-0 Brighton

Harvey Barnes jags in from the left wing, taking on two defenders and getting into the area but he's stopped by a fine sliding challenge. Youri Tielemans then almost finds Jamie Vardy running in behind the Brighton defence but it's a touch overhit.

Thumbs up from Vardy though. He liked that.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wolves

Huddersfield were enjoying a nice spell of possession before losing out in midfield. Luckily, they react quickly to get men behind the ball and Wolves are left chasing shadows again.

  6. CLOSE!published at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

    Cardiff 0-0 Everton

Phil Jagielka is caught on the ball by Kenneth Zohore. He is away on the left wing and can pick out a low cross but Lucas Digne does brilliantly to slide in and steer the ball away from Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, who would have had a tap-in!

Not a good start from Everton...

James Maddison heavily involved in the opening stages as the hosts start at a high tempo. Free-kick wide right for the Foxes, which Maddison takes - really poor ball in though.

This is my second visit to Newcastle in four days.

I was also here for Saturday’s comfortable 2-0 win against bottom of the table Huddersfield. I have to say there is a fresh optimism among the media that cover the club week in, week out.

New signing Miguel Almiron made a good impression on his first outing at St James’ Park and there is a real belief that Newcastle can finish the season strongly.

Rafa Benitez has warned the home fans not to take Burnley lightly in his programme notes.

He writes: “Everybody realises how difficult it will be for us. What’s important is to approach this game with respect for our opponents - who are very strong, physical and will look to cause us problems.”

    Huddersfield v Wolves (19:45 GMT)

    .

It only looks a matter of time until the Terriers' relegation is confirmed, but they should be ready for the Championship because they have had time to plan for it.

Wolves managed to get a point at Bournemouth despite a couple of debatable penalties being awarded against them. I think they will have too much for the home side.

    Prediction: 0-2

Brendan Rodgers would have hoped for a top-six club in England, but that was never going to happen. Of the next six in the table, the Leicester job is as good as any and better than most. This is an underperforming, unhappy team, a club with an admirable squad that's currently sitting only eight points above a relegation spot despite having spent more than £100m on players in the summer and another £186m in the three summers before that.

They've had the dour, deflating Frenchman, Claude Puel, in charge and he's changed the way they play, from the speed and effervescence of their Premier League-winning season to something more slow-paced and failing.

Rodgers' philosophy and personality is what they feel they need. It's exactly what Celtic felt they needed when bringing him to Glasgow in the first place.

  17. 'A team on a mission'published at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February 2019

    Huddersfield v Wolves (19:45 GMT)

    Steven Wyeth
    Match of the Day commentator

Reasons for optimism have been in short supply for Huddersfield. Almost cut adrift at the bottom, they are as many points from safety as games played since their last Premier League win.

They have had 13 defeats and a draw since last earning three points, although that victory came in the reverse fixture - and that's encouragement Huddersfield will gladly accept.

Wolves, though, are a team on a mission. They are a point shy of their best Premier League return and, despite successive draws, are still very much in contention to finish as the best of the rest in seventh.

The focus may be on Leicester tonight but it's well worth pointing out that Brighton have picked up just six points from their last 33 available in the Premier League (W1 D3 L7), with the Seagulls winning none of their six games so far in 2019 (D2 L4).

Newcastle and Burnley are two form teams.

It will be a difficult game for Burnley at a fantastic football club with a great stadium and great supporters, it will be a tough test.

I am looking forward to seeing the two teams and how they shape up, and how the formations affect each other.
