  1. Blackburn in for Gallagher?published at 10:40 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    Andy Bayes
    Reporter, BBC Radio Lancashire

Now we've heard about a potential deal involving one east Lancashire club but what about another....?

Blackburn would like another striker. Manager Tony Mowbray has repeatedly stressed that bringing in a forward is a priority over the course of the last few weeks.

Would Southampton's Sam Gallagher be a good fit? Yes for me. He knows the club from an impressive loan spell in 2016-17 but it is very much a case of wait and see.

  4. Swansea's James keen on Leeds movepublished at 10:31 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    Chris Wathan
    BBC Sport Wales

Swansea City could be set to lose winger Daniel James with the Wales international believed to be keen on a move to Leeds United.

Championship leaders Leeds have targeted a deal for James during the January transfer window.

Swansea have been eager to keep hold of the 21-year-old and have been fending off interest from the Elland Road club.

However, it is understood James has made it known he would be interested in joining Marcelo Bielsa’s side if a fee can be agreed between the clubs.

Would love Leeds to go and get Dan James from Swansea as we're rumoured to be in talks. Failing that, spend every penny on a machine to close our Lord and saviour Marcelo Bielsa.

David Blackmore, editor of West Ham United magazine Blowing Bubbles, says the will he, won't he Marko Arnautovic departure is "peak West Ham" and will the pave the way for the forward to leave, but just not yet.

"The Marko Arnautovic saga during this transfer window has had a debilitating impact on our last few games, and this looked set to last until the end of the season before Arnie's injury against Wolves," Blackmore said.

"The interest from China, his brother's comments, the contract extension, the performances and now the injury is peak West Ham.

"He'll surely be sold in the summer as Manuel Pellegrini looks to build a squad all willing to fight for the team - despite Marko being adamant he is committed to the cause.

"I do wonder, however, if joint-owners David Gold and David Sullivan wish they'd known about his injury in advance and got rid this month while the money was all right."

Yannick Carrasco to Arsenal is definitely off.

The Belgian winger received a very good offer from another club - reportedly AC Milan - and his current club, Chinese side Dalian Yifang, were offered a replacement in an attempt to make it happen but they’re reluctant to sanction his departure.

As things stand he’s staying in China

  15. 'A midfielder and left back needed'published at 10:11 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    What does your club need?

    Manchester City

So what about transfer business at Manchester City? Here is Nigel Rothband, Host of the Man City Show podcast on what he expects today:

"It doesn’t look as though we are going to see any new faces at the Etihad.

"As City compete for four trophies, Pep Guardiola has repeatedly said he is not prepared to pay inflated wages and risk upsetting the ‘locker room’ as he insists on calling it. That does mean a couple of targets have slipped through the net, most recently Frenkie de Jong who left Ajax to join Barcelona.

"Once the summer is here the blues will undoubtedly see more transfer activity. A replacement/cover for the outstanding Fernandinho remains the priority and there are strong arguments for reinforcements in other positions including cover at left-back for he injury-prone Benjamin Mendy."
