With Arsenal battling for a top four Premier League spot, Akhil Vyas from the Arsenal Supporters' Trust and the Gooner Ramble podcast is hoping boss Unai Emery adds more creativity in the wide areas.

"It's good to have Denis Suarez in from Barcelona - and I'm also glad Aaron Ramsey isn't going anywhere until the summer as he has been nothing but professional," said Vyas.

"I think the club will try hard for that winger - we may look dodgy at the back but we also are not creating and that for me is a bigger worry.

"The majority of our goals in the last four or five games have been from set pieces so I'm hopeful we'll add some creativity. The only issue with Suarez and a potential winger is they don't have time to settle in - we go to Man City on Sunday! Yikes!"

Harry Marston: Wolves fan and hope we sign Jonny and Jimenez today on permanents as they have been tremendous this season.

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Shandong Luneng over the transfer of Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

It is understood Fellaini has already passed his medical, meaning only the paperwork is needed to be completed in order to finish the transfer.

Fellaini, 31, joined United from Everton for £27m in 2014 when he became the first significant signing of the post Sir Alex Ferguson era.

He signed a new two-year deal last summer that was due to run until 2020.

However, Fellaini has not made much of an impact since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival as replacement for sacked manager Jose Mourinho last month and United have decided to cut their losses.

Sunderland are hoping for a busy day today. The League One side are trying to bring in a couple of strikers at least, having lost top scorer Josh Maja earlier in the window.

The Black Cats have been linked with just about every League One striker in the last few weeks.

Press Association are reporting that both the north east club and fellow League One side Portsmouth have had bids for Plymouth for striker Freddie Ladapo rejected.

What ever happened to Danny Drinkwater?

  11. 'Drinkwater to boost options in midfield?'published at 09:24 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    Bournemouth

Eddie Howe has made three key signings for Bournemouth this month according to fan, journalist and match-day programme contributor Gareth Davies.

"It has probably come as a surprise to many supporters, albeit tinged with relief, that Eddie Howe has made three signings so far during this latest transfer period," said Davies.

"The capture of Nathaniel Clyne was one of absolute necessity after Simon Francis’ season ending injury as Spurs on Boxing Day.

"Chris Mepham’s signature is one Bournemouth have chased for a while as it provides real competition for places at centre-half. If Nathan Ake moved on, with former club Chelsea known to be a potential suitor, then there is a ready-made replacement in the former Brentford man.

"We may not see Dominic Solanke for another couple of weeks, but his signing, despite the hefty fee, again looks like one for the future and, another fall-back if Callum Wilson or Josh King departed.

"Rumours are also circulating about a move for Chelsea’s forgotten man Danny Drinkwater who would boost options in midfield, but I’m not sure just how much game-time he would receive."

  18. Silva to leave Leicesterpublished at 09:09 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January 2019

    Leicester City

Part of the deal that is taking Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans to Leicester on loan will see Adrien Silva move in the other direction.

Silva has failed to make much of an impact at the King Power Stadium since arriving from Sporting Lisbon for £22m in 2017.

He was forced to wait six months to make his debut after the paperwork arrived with Fifa 14 seconds late and has never really recovered his form, making just three Premier League appearances this season.

The Portugal international is highly rated by new Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim.
