Australia are peppering crosses into the Italy box now. It's kitchen sink time!

Emily van Egmond's free-kick is flicked on among a huddle of players but there's no way through as a wall of Italian defenders hook it long.

Cristiana Girelli then does brilliantly well to spin past two defenders, then flick a through ball into the path of Barbara Bonansea, who, guess what? Is offside.

Italy have had the ball in the back of the net three times but are still drawing 1-1. This is still there for the taking!

What a result it would be too. Australia have a free-kick here though...

A cross from the right is contested by Sam Kerr and it bobbles up into the air in the box. Katrina Gorry and Laura Fusetti end up bashing into each other but the free-kick goes Italy's way.

Valentina Bergamaschi gets in behind and is allowed to run all the way into the box unchallenged.

Her shot is well saved by Lydia Williams before the flag goes up for offside. Poor Begamaschi ran about 70m before play was stopped. Surely that rule needs adapting?

The replay shows the ball hitting Lisa de Vanna. It looks like it's her arm to me but it's not easy to see.

The referee decides it's not clear enough. No penalty.

They are going back to check for handball during that Italy corner... the players seemed adamant!

Both times it's blocked. A corner to the Italians... there's a few appeals for handball from the Italy players but the referee is having none of it.
