My question is, are the rules different in women's football when taking a goal kick, my understanding is that the ball when kicked must go out of the penalty area as I have seen at least twice this has not happened. Could you please answer this for me.

The laws of football for both men and women changed on 1 June, including that one. So in next season's Premier League, Champions League etc, goalkeepers can take very short goal-kicks.

The new Manchester City striker volleys it towards the keeper's left corner but Lee Alexander reacts to pull off a worldie of a one-handed save.

Karen Bardsley has to deal with a lofty cross as it almost falls below the crossbar but she manages to push it out to the right.

Claire Emslie's shot is then blocked but it nearly falls for Erin Cuthbert. Alex Greenwood is aware though, and she reacts to slide in and clip the ball away for a throw-in.

The attendance is 13,188 in Nice. Lower than what we were told to expect earlier in the week which is disappointing.

It's been a cracker!

Beth Mead's cross is firmly headed away by Jennifer Beattie and when England fire it back into the box, Christie Murray is there to intercept.

Claire Emslie then does really well to hold off challenges from Alex Greenwood and Jill Scott, before winning a throw-in at the other end.

Nikita Parris has been outstanding. Every time she gets the ball she's looking to face up, looking to take players on and making things happen.

She's a player that gets you off your seat because you think she's going to produce a moment of magic and in this game she has on a couple of occasions.

Beth Mead comes sliding in late on Erin Cuthbert and gives away a free-kick. Scotland use the opportunity to take a bit of a breather as Mead pulls up with what looks like cramp.

I think there's moments when Scotland are being aggressive and trying to shut England down higher up the pitch. But Kim Little hasn't been on the ball enough. Can they not get her facing the England goal and driving forward?

Scotland have just stifled England's momentum slightly by pressing high up the pitch. Fran Kirby has been forced back very deep and is picking the ball up on the edge of her own box.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious for Millie Bright, that it's just precautionary. She doesn't go down easily so she would have hated to have had to come off but it's the right decision from Phil Neville. It's a long tournament - hopefully, from an England perspective - so you want to keep your players fit, you don't want to make it worse.

The attack breaks down when Scott is inches away from a cross which is fired in from the left.
