It's 20 days until the final is played in Lyon on 7 July. That's where France want to be and not as spectators.

The hosts have unsurprisingly attracted the biggest crowds so far and they haven't disappointed by winning their opening matches.

There were 45,261 fans inside the Parc des Princes when they thrashed South Korea 4-0 on the opening day and a further 34,872 watched their narrow win over Norway in Nice on Wednesday.

Today's location, Roazhon Park in Rennes, has a capacity of just under 30,000 so the French are expected to fill the stands once again.

South Korea need a win no matter what.

France thrashed Nigeria 8-0 over a year ago but Francesca Ordega and Asisat Oshoala "are not scared" of them and are relishing a chance to get revenge.

"I like challenges," said Ordega. "We went to France last April and the result was pretty bad but that's football.

"We went to Germany in 2011 and lost 8-0 in the preparation for that tournament but in the actual World Cup they struggled to score against us. We know France are a good team though."

Oshoala added: "You can't beat my country 8-0 and come back and do it again. No way!

"We have to go all out against them. We want them to know that was just a mistake. We have to return our image. It will be an interesting game."

Wendie Renard became the first player to score an own-goal for France at a Women's World Cup with this shocker against Norway.

She will be hoping not to replicate this today...

France are "outsiders" to win the tournament, according to boss Corinne Diacre.

"We did what we had to do. We're still outsiders for the tournament," she said. "The World Cup is very complex.

"Little by little, along the way - that's when you become the favourite."

Hosts France have never gone beyond the semi-finals of the World Cup and have only reached the last eight at the European Championship.

They are ranked fourth in the world and are hoping to replicate the success of the men's team, who won in Russia last year.

They were the joint bookies' favourites ahead of the tournament.

"We said when we started that we wanted to be in the last 16. Nothing has changed," said Nigeria boss Thomas Dennerby.

"We already have a good team spirit but maybe that win [against South Korea] will give us a little bit more. Now we go to play France, a really good team.

"If we can come out with a point everyone would be extremely happy."

France are one of 11 teams already through to the last 16, having won their opening two matches.

If they win the group they will play a third-placed side in the last 16.They remain on course to potentially meet England in the semi-finals...

Spain and China joined Germany in the next round from this afternoon's Group B matches.

France qualified for the last 16 with two wins from two and need just a draw or better against Nigeria tonight to ensure they top Group A.

A draw for Nigeria will seal their last-16 spot but a defeat could also be enough. Norway, currently second in the group, will also progress if they avoid defeat to South Korea.

South Korea need to beat Norway in Reims to have any chance of edging through.

As the lowest-ranked country in the group, Nigeria faced a tough task to make it through to the knockout stages.

But their 2-0 win over South Korea has opened a door and a draw here today will be enough. If they fail to get a point, they face a nervous wait to see whether they qualify as one of the best four third-placed teams.

Should they make it through, it will be the first time since 1999 they have gone beyond the group stages and that year they reached the quarter-finals.

The African champions have never won back-to-back games at a World Cup, though two of their four previous World Cup wins have come in the third group game.

There is just one change to the Nigeria squad that beat South Korea 2-0 in their last match on Wednesday.

Midfielder Halimatu Ayinde, who currently plays for FC Minsk, replaces Chinaza Uchendu.

Four changes for France, who still need one point to secure top sot in the group.

Eugenie le Sommer, who needs one goal to become France's record scorer at the Women's World Cup, is on the bench along with three other players who started the 2-1 win over Norway last Wednesday - Marion Torrent, Kadidiatou Diani and Elise Bussaglia.

Coming into the side are Eve Perisset, Charlotte Bilbault, Delphine Cascarino and Viviane Asseyi.

Hosts France are already through to the last 16 but can they get a result in Rennes and top Group A?

Nigeria are fighting for a place in the knockout stages but will they have enough to overthrow one of the tournament favourites?
