Rod: Fran Kirby not involved enough. Would like to see Stanway on who I think did enough to start this game.

Mark B: England are looking directionless at the moment. With so many skillful and dynamic players it's baffling why this happens every game. Possession football is pointless without intent.

Phil Neville will be happy with the score. After half an hour he will have been really happy with how his side were playing - England were really sharp. But in the last 10 minutes they've got a bit sloppy.

Wayne: Gone off the boil again after taking a lead, something of a recurring theme in this WC. Probably won’t get punished for it today, but we will eventually if we don’t learn.

Paul: Fran Kirby isn't worth her place at the moment. Missing in action after 30 minutes.

Aurelle Awona, who scored the winning goal in that crucial victory over New Zealand, tries to break down the left for Cameroon.

She lacks support in the centre and England's defence deal with the situation comfortably.

Ellen White then goes up the other end but dithers over the ball and she's tackled from behind.

Steph Houghton, who also scored in England's last-16 tie four years ago against Norway, is urging her team-mates to keep calm and stay focused.

She seems to be constantly aware of where everyone is and where they need to be, pointing and almost always talking.

Meanwhile, in the stands, the England fans' band have started up the Great Escape theme.

England have done well when they have moved the ball quickly. What I would like them to do is if they have the ball on the right can they switch it quickly.

I am impressed with Jill Scott's ability to go from the left side to the right side and really link up. Nikita Parris and Lucy Bronze are really dominating the right side. Hopefully we will see some more attacks from the left side by England.

England have created plenty of chances but they have still only had two shots and just the one on target.

Ellen White has been pretty quiet. Can England grab another goal before half-time and really stamp down their authority?

Curtis: How did Scott get let off from a yellow? I thought exposed studs kicking into the shin was a mandatory yellow card in this WWC. Must only apply to sides from Africa.

Babyboomer: Jill Scott's through balls seem to be on a different wavelength from the other forwards. Maybe need more on the ball practice as a team and less physical training.

Zach: The Cameroon player's antics remind me of the Colombian men's against England last year. Dirty and disgraceful. Should be down to nine already but money is there won't be any consequence.

While Phil Neville is donning the popular waistcoat once again, Cameroon boss Alain Djeumfa has kept the heat in mind, sensibly sticking to a simple, red t-shirt. He's spent most of the half out on the edge of his technical area.

Speaking yesterday, Djeumfa said England had "many weaknesses" and that his side would have something "up their sleeve". We haven't seen that in the first half an hour.
