England have enjoyed almost 70% of the possession so far and are really enjoying themselves.

Keira Walsh, back to Lucy Bronze, up to Nikita Parris and into the centre. It's chance, after chance at the moment.

The average positions of the teams below show just how much Cameroon are being pushed into their own half.

I am concerned about Cameroon's longevity. In previous games they have showed speed and athleticism. Even their top players, I haven't seen them get involved like they have previously.

Jill Scott has been excellent so far. She uses her strength to power through the centre and links up with Nikita Parris and Fran Kirby, while shrugging off challenges.

She tries to slip it through to Ellen White on the right but the forward wanted it lifting in towards the centre.

As the England players come over to grab a much-needed drink in these humid, hot conditions, Nikita Parris has a word with the fourth official, pointing out again the elbow she received early on, for which Yvonne Leuko was booked.

Jill Scott is doing so well in the middle of the park. She is closing players down and is not shirking from the physical battle. She is also finding space. It is exactly what you want from your central midfielder.

Great start by England, but after an elbow on Nikita Parris by Yvonne Lueko and Augustine Ejangue appearing to spit on Toni Duggan, should Cameroon be down to nine players?

Or have Fifa changed their VAR policy again?

An eventful start to the game.

Kwame: That surely wasn't an intentional back pass to the goalkeeper. It was more a heavy touch than anything else. Bad interpretation from the Chinese referee. Where was VAR in this?

  12. CLOSE!published at 22 mins

Great build-up from England, who weave through the middle with one-touch passing. It comes to Fran Kirby on the edge of the box and she lays it off to Toni Duggan on the left.

The Barcelona forward tries to find the top right corner with a curling effort but it flies narrowly wide. Decent effort!

Again, England are getting success down the right. Another cross is whipped in and it evades Toni Duggan by inches.

Was there a handball from the Cameroon defender? It's hard to tell without a replay. It doesn't go to VAR though, so the referee obviously didn't think so.

If Cameroon have not rehearsed that free-kick scenario, this England team for sure has.

It's an excellent finish by Steph Houghton.

Bottom right was probably the only place they could have put the ball. It was exactly where they needed to go. That was the only space they could have put it and fantastic from Steph Houghton. That is what you want from your captain and leader.

    Steph Houghton

This might be a first for Steph Houghton! She scores from a free-kick... inside the box!

Toni Duggan just touches it in her path and centre-back Houghton fires it low into the right corner, where the Cameroon players appeared not to have covered.

    A terrific start from England!
