England will be fully aware of what Cameroon can bring. If England switch off, Cameroon will get you. If Cameroon don't get you then VAR will.

England have to concentrate from start to finish.

Has Toni Duggan improved? Absolutely. We have not seen the best of her at this World Cup yet but she has improved on the pitch and off the pitch.

    England v Cameroon (16:30 BST)

England assistant coach Bev Priestman: “The African teams are unpredictable and unorthodox. With Japan you knew exactly what you were going to get in terms of their structure. With an African team, they’re athletic with a lot of direct play and second-phase football.

“It will be a totally different test to what we’ve faced [so far]. We’ve got to be prepared to take on that physical battle, but when we have the ball we have to really, really punish them.

“Hopefully we can do what we need to do.”

Remember, if it's a draw after 90 minutes, this match will go to extra-time and then a penalty shoot-out.

When Phil Neville was asked about it potentially going to penalties, he said: "There is no fear of penalties.

"If it happens, we will win!"

    So he's pretty confident then.

One thing you notice as you encounter fans at the games, is how many different England shirts are on display.

There are plenty of people wearing the uber smart red Lionesses kit, but there are also some amazing retro numbers.

Including this one, worn by an England fan from Belgium, which she bought back in 1994.

    Glorious!

You can see how much it means. Ellen White's mum and dad are here, Toni Duggan's mum has flown over on her own. Nobody wants to miss the knockout stages. There's a lot of emotion.

A lot of these families have been following their daughters, their wives, their partners round the world for years and years - and the World Cup is the ultimate.

  18. 'Freshness and patience is key' - Nevillepublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 23 June 2019

    England v Cameroon (16:30 BST)

England head coach Phil Neville speaking to BBC Sport on his team selections: "We rested Nikita Parris for the Japan game. She was in blistering form in the first two games and the work we ask from our wide players, freshness is key.

"After her goals, Ellen White deserves her place in the team and we have fantastic options on the bench.

"The subs will be key today, we know in the last 30 minutes they could tire and we need to make sure those players are ready. It's about being patient."

England become sloppy and it is a pattern in the second half. Play the simple ball. At this stage in a tournament you will be punished.

There is always one thing you can control and that is fitness and ability to work hard. To close the gap and compete with the best you have to be in top condition.

    England v Cameroon (16:30 BST)

England have won each of their last four matches at the Women's World Cup - they have never before emerged victorious in five successive games in the competition.

Ellen White has scored more goals than any other England player at the Women's World Cup, scoring three goals from six shots on target.

If she scores versus Cameroon, White (four) will become the joint-highest scorer for the Lionesses in the competition alongside Fara Williams (five goals).

This will be the first ever competitive meeting between England and Cameroon. England won their only previous Women's World Cup match versus African opposition, beating Nigeria in 1995 (3-2).
