    The United States have won the Women's World Cup a record three times.

    They have reached at least the semi-finals in every World Cup so far - seven before this year.

    Spain, on the other hand, are in only their second WWC and this is their first ever knockout game.

    They went out in the group stages in 2015 with one point from three games.

    The United States make one change from their win over Sweden in their final group game. Midfielder Julie Ertz is fit following a thigh injury and replaces Lindsey Horan.

    Spain make two switches as midfielder Vicky Losada and winger Alexia Putellas start. Mariona and Nahikari Garcia drop to the bench.
