If Spain are going to compete with this USA team they have to be as strong as possible, and a couple of times they have stepped across the line.

Wayne Andrews: Am I right in assuming the USA are just toying with Spain before taking them apart in the second half?

Daniel Black: Spain should keep pressuring USA as they seem a bit weak in defence.

Sebastien: Fantastic half from Spain, really enjoyed watching them in WWC2019 from the enthusiastic runs of Lucía García to the class of Hermoso.

Irene Paredes is keeping an eye on Alex Morgan's every move, she knows how to hold the line high, she's forcing the USA to make offside tuns. She's a real intellectual player, she's constantly reading the game. She's one of my favourite centre-backs.

It's been a back-and-forth game. Rose Lavelle has been brilliant in midfield. She played the perfect pass to Megan Rapinoe and it should have been a goal.

Sam Mewis has got into the play, she's changing the point of attack, she's playing perfect balls to Tobin Heath. There's lots of opportunities for the United States to get on the scoreboard.

This is Alyssa Naeher's 50th cap for the United States. She is only the third USA goalkeeper since Mary Harvey in 1991 to play a Women's World Cup knockout game. BBC pundit Hope Solo and Brianna Scurry played in all the others.

It's bad decision making by Alyssa Naeher. I don't think Becky Sauerbrunn wanted the ball. There were two players there, if Alyssa Naeher decided to go out wide.

Alyssa Naeher is a fantastic goalkeeper, she has so many physical attributes, but what sets goalkeepers apart is their decision making, and that is in question today.
