Rose Lavelle has had it on the edge of the box a couple of times and needs to shoot. It makes defenders defend differently because they don't know whether to expect the shot or the ball through.

She's got herself in some great positions but needs to let fly at the end of it.

    Jeers and whistles.

Megan Rapinoe is on the ball, this is a good attack for the USA but suddenly Spain's Marta Corredera goes down - and gets a free-kick.

    And Rapinoe gets booked.

A replay shows Rapinoe caught Corredera in the face with her arm, but she didn't mean it, she was just wriggling past her opponent.

Now Samantha Mewis blasts one wide from long range. It'll be a bit concerning for the US if they're having to shoot from outside the box.

Losing Vicky Losada is so disappointing for her and Spain. She's one of their playmakers in midfield and so difficult to contend with.

Spain have to make a change. Vicky Losada has a very swollen eye after getting a knock earlier on. She's tried to play on but has had to concede defeat. Nahikari Garcia is on.

The players all take a chance to grab a quick drink, and it's a much needed one. It's sweltering out there, with the humidity.

Both sides look really dangerous going forward and this has been a joy to watch so far.
