The lively Lucia Garcia clips a cross into the box but US keeper Alyssa Naeher catches it.

Alex Morgan isn't quite on the ball (mentally or physically) as the chance comes to run down the right wing. She eventually goes for it and her cross is blocked into the arms of the keeper.

The tension is building in the stadium. Very few people expected it to be this tight at this stage, and that latest Spain chance has made a lot of USA fans even more nervous.

Some bookmakers had the holders as 1-10 on favourites to go through tonight.

Last night, the hosts needed extra time to get past Brazil. Are we in for another late one this evening?

It was such clever play by Crystal Dunn down the left-hand side, and the shot's not that far away.

Megan Rapinoe plays a short pass to Abby Dahlkemper, whose ball into the box is cleared.

But it starts a good spell for the US as Crystal Dunn has a cross headed away and Rose Lavelle shoots over the bar from 20 yards.

This referee loves her whistle. It's another USA free.

Remember the US have never gone out before the semi-finals in the Women's World Cup before.
