As the stands really start to fill-up here, it's evident that the USA fans are going to dominate tonight in terms of numbers. We're expecting more than 20,000 of them, and perhaps a lot more than that.

But there are plenty of England flags on show as well, especially behind one goal.

Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

I've been looking at the England players warming-up and Carly Telford looks confident. Right behind me is a wall of sound but she looks right up for it.

BBC Radio 5 live commentator John Murray says Megan Rapinoe does not look fully fit in the warm-up.

She's not warming up with the rest of the team and is doing some lighter work.

  5. 'England will match American physicality'published at 19:27 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

    Emma Hayes
Chelsea Women manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

The interesting thing about the England team is how Americanised we have become with pace and power and Fran Kirby on the bench.

Teams cannot usually match the USA's physicality but England will tonight.

  7. Ronaldinho, park runs and Staniforthpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

From being told she had to stop playing with boys at 11, to moving to Europe to play football, Lucy Bronze has an inspiring tale.

And here she is, ripping it up with England at the World Cup after another successful season with French club Lyon.

BBC Sport takes a look at the person behind the success - from Ronaldinho, to park runs and social awkwardness, to her friendship with England teammate Lucy Staniforth.

Lucy Bronze's performance against Norway was exceptional. I train with her everyday and we have a very similar upbringing.

I am at the opposite end of the spectrum in terms of personality but she is an incredible competitor. She was very restrained at the start of the tournament but against Norway it was like the elastic band had come off and she was getting forward.

    Margot Miller, Edinburgh:

At the 2017 Euros I was staying in the same hotel as the Lionesses. They thumped Scotland 6-0. When the England team returned to the hotel they found some very dejected Scottish supporters. The England players were all very gracious victors but Jill Scott stood out among them - she spoke with the young Scotland supporters, posed for pics and even brought out the match ball for them to be photographed with. What a lovely young woman. I will always support the Lionesses now (unless they are playing Scotland, of course).

  12. Bardsley injured in last three major tournamentspublished at 19:19 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport correspondent

England goalkeeper Carly Telford makes her second major international appearance and it happens to be a World Cup semi-final, but in some ways, it's not totally unexpected.

Karen Bardsley was also injured in the Euro 2017 semi-final defeat by the Netherlands and had to come off during the 2015 World Cup quarter-final win over Canada with an eye problem.

This is why Phil Neville has rotated his team throughout the tournament. By playing Chelsea's Telford in the second group game against Argentina, at least she isn't coming into this massive game cold and the 31-year-old is often described as being better with the ball at her feet.

The American side are flying and they have so much endurance. I do not think this heat is going to effect the team because we train at altitude and in Florida sometimes.

I'm still concerned about the fitness of this English team.

  15. Team news causes a stirpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

    Tom Garry
    BBC Sport in Lyon

The news that USA star Megan Rapinoe is not starting has caused a huge stir in a relatively frenzied press area.

Sources from the US camp that I've spoken to won't confirm the reason for her omission, only stressing that it is not a disciplinary matter and that head coach Jill Ellis will address her decision after the game.

It may well be a tactical manoeuvre. Neville's selection has also raised many eyebrows here. Have both head coaches played some tactical chess with one another?

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, England manager Phil Neville said: "It's a game where we need all our speed and energy on the pitch and then you have the quality of Fran Kirby off the bench for when the game opens up.

"I hope we play to the form we have played with in this tournament. We have played with enjoyment and freedom and I hope we do that again tonight. This is not a massive game, Sunday is a massive game."

There are an incredible number of USA fans here. They must be outnumbering England’s support by 100-1. Some have travelled as far as California and Tennessee just for this game.

I think Megan Rapinoe's GPS data must have been through the roof against France. If we had another 48 hours before this game I think she would start.

  20. Choose your starting XIpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

Phil Neville's starting XI has certainly raised some eyebrows.

So put yourself in his shoes. Would you opt for a 4-4-2 formation? Would you have put Jodie Taylor up front ahead of Nikita Parris? Would you move Rachel Daly into a front three instead?

    Pick your England XI here.
