  1. 'We have more hunger'published at 19:10 British Summer Time 2 July 2019

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

England right-back Lucy Bronze: "We have more hunger than the other teams because we have never reached a final.

"You look at the four teams left and we're the only team that hasn't reached a final. The Olympics, the World Cup, the Euros, these other three teams have all reached finals in recent years.

"It definitely takes more to reach a final - but who better to know that it takes more than a team that has been knocked out of two consecutive semi-finals?"

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

When England take on the USA tonight, they will also be up against two Englishwomen at the very top of the sport.

The United States' Hampshire-born head coach Jill Ellis and Newcastle-born high performance coach Dawn Scott are integral to the holders' bid for a fourth world title.

Ellis and Scott have worked together for nine years in varying capacities. Their childhoods lacked opportunities to play competitive girls football, so how did they progress to become global leaders in their fields?

So after plenty of discussion, this is who we think is lining up where.

England, we are being told, are lining up in a 4-4-2 formation with Nikita Parris partnering Ellen White up top.

Rachel Daly is on the right wing and Beth Mead is on the left.

I think Carly Telford has trained her career to be in this position.

It gives England the ability to play out from the back because Carly can move it more comfortably than Karen Bardsley. She will certainly be ready.

I'm sightly nervous because I didn't expect England to change formation to a 4-4-2 but it will give them an extra player in midfield and it could be a stroke of genius.

These guys have had an incredible journey to Lyon. They left Chesterfield yesterday, travelled overnight in a motorhome which used to be a British Gas service van, got here two hours ago and, even though they’ve had no sleep, they’re buzzing for the game! Amazing support

England forward Nikita Parris on Ellen White's battle for the Golden Boot: "It’s coming her way! It’s coming her way, no matter what!

"She has been unbelievable in this tournament and she's a great person. She’s a prime example of sheer and utter diligence in every sense of the world.

"She’s competitive on the field, off the field she recovers properly and she does everything right. I am super excited for her to lift that Golden Boot, and I will do everything in my power to ensure she does that."

That's a boost for England and Ellen White. Megan Rapinoe scored twice in the USA's quarter-final victory over France.

She must have a knock or isn't quite fully fit.

The test for Lucy Bronze is tonight. Back-to-back games in the World Cup has made her fitter but Crystal Dunn will relish the that challenge of defending against her.

The shift Megan Rapinoe put in the previous match was incredible and she was pressing the centre-half and the goalkeeper in the 85th minute.

Christen Press who comes in for Rapinoe has a point to prove. She will be hungry and she has incredible pace.

We have heard Karen Bardsley has picked up a hamstring injury and that is why Carly Telford starts in goal.

This is only her second start in a major tournament. She was given her debut in England's 1-0 win over Argentina in the group stages.

Telford had been in the squads for the 2007 and 2015 tournaments but didn't pick up an appearance.

It's also a big night for Rachel Daly - who plays her club football in America with Houston Dash. She's impressed throughout the tournament as a bit-part player.

Beth Mead has also been in stunning form for Arsenal this season and deserves a start ahead of Toni Duggan.

    England v USA (20:00 BST)

Some big England team news. Goalkeeper Karen Bardsley is injured so Carly Telford comes in for only her second major tournament game, having played in the group game against Argentina. Rachel Daly is also in for Fran Kirby, while Beth Mead replaces Toni Duggan.

It looks like Daly could be stationed on the right wing with Nikita Parris moving into the number 10 position. She has been used at right-back by Neville.

England XI: Telford, Bronze, Houghton, Bright, Stokes; Scott, Walsh; Daly, Parris, Mead; White.

"We face a very good English side, who have some good players. They're one of the big girls of the game," said the Seattle Reign winger.

"They strolled through their quarter-final and had an extra day, so have got some rest in their legs."
