The angle suits a left-footer so wing-back Emerson Palmieri steps up for Chelsea but curls the strike over the wall and over the crossbar.

That was risky from Angelo Ogbonna. It wasn't a red card as there were covering defenders. I don't think anyone would have caught Eden Hazard, but it was the correct decision from the referee.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 11 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Delightful from Eden Hazard, sprinting away from Gonzalo Higuain's lay-off and darting to the edge of the box.

The Belgian is bundled over from behind by Angelo Ogbonna, earning the West Ham defender the first booking of the game from referee Chris Kavanagh.

This is 20 yards out, to the right.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek v Declan Rice is going to be a fascinating battle today.

The two players have already gone toe-to-toe in the middle of the park and I make that 1-1 so far.

There's a good feel about this game. It's very open. I know it's early-on but you can see that both teams are trying to play offensive football.

Little man N'Golo is looking to dictate the play from in the hole. He sprays it out wide to Eden Hazard and gets it back, but then the move breaks down as the Frenchman trips a West Ham player.

More used to seeing Kante doing the dirty work than the more glamourous stuff.

The worry for West Ham fans is that Marko Arnautovic doesn't look like he's going to track back when Eden Hazard has the ball.

That means he's happy to leave the full-back one-on-one.

The Chelsea crowd up with excitement as Callum Hudson-Odoi gets his dancing feet on the ball for the first time, trying a step over and flick, but it does not quite come off.

If you're a West Ham fan you know they can turn it on against anyone but they are so inconsistent. Their last six games have been bizarre.

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

Marko Arnautovic caught offside in the first 10 seconds.

You'd have lost a few quid if you put money on West Ham team-mate Javier Hernandez to be first to achieve that in the game.

Maurizio Sarri is six points better off at this stage of the season than Antonio Conte was this time last year, but dissatisfaction lingers.

Being in the Europa League quarter-finals and still in the hunt for a top-four spot feels like a bare minimum for this talented squad.

Despite the late comeback at Cardiff, you could clearly hear disapproving chants from Chelsea fans toward their own manager.

It's 17 years since West Ham won a league game at Stamford Bridge but they are much improved this campaign, already matching their points total from last May with six games to spare.

Maurizio Sarri is playing Callum Hudson-Odoi at home tonight. It always helps when you're at home and you're trying to get into the side. He is up against Aaron Cresswell at left-back so Sarri has looked at that and thought it's worth trying to get him in one-on-one situations.

Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain says it is his "intention" to be at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Argentina international, 31, joined the Blues on loan until the end of the season from Italian giants Juventus in January.

Last week, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri said Higuain - who has scored three goals in eight Premier League appearances - needs "time to improve".

"I want to do as well as I can so I can be here for next season," Higuain said.

"I came here and I wanted to stay. It's a good city, you live well and you can be relaxed but also enjoy yourself - so my intention is to stay here."
