    Derby 0-0 Stoke

Derby doing everything but score, as Scott Malone is the man to drill a shot wide after another stroll up the left touchline.

Stoke's goal leading a charmed life... they have been well set-up here by Nathan Jones... what price the visitors nick one?

  2. Postpublished at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Birmingham 0-2 Millwall

The hosts are just starting to get a bit desperate, with potshots coming from distance. This time it's Gary Gardner whose effort goes harmlessly wide.

Millwall can sense the frustration and are taking their time at every stoppage - Jake Cooper's picked up a yellow card for the cause.

  3. goal

GOAL: Middlesbrough 1-1 Prestonpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Paul Gallagher (63 mins)

"VERY INTERESTING!" - as Barry Davies once screeched into his microphone.

Paul Gallagher, rolls the ball to his teammate who sets it for him, and the Scotland international bent a perfect free-kick beyond the wall, beyond Darren Randolph and into the net.

It ripples, first to a stunned silence and then to a crescendo of boos... Boro fans not happy with the dismissal while the Preston support celebrates.

Out of the blue, but it's level.

  4. RED CARD - Middlesbrough (Ayala)published at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

Well, that could prove interesting as Boro defender Daniel Ayala is sent-off for a late lunge.

The home side, in control, are now down to 10. Didn't hurt Sheffield United last night, did it?

Danger though, as there's a free-kick on the edge of their box.

  5. goal

GOAL: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Aston Villapublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Kortney Hause (61 mins)

    Villa 3-1Image source, Rex Features

Villa now have a two-goal lead after weathering a spell of good pressure from Forest.

But there will be questions asked at the back here as Kortney Hause is allowed to get the final touch on a swinging free-kick by Conor Hourihane.

Nobody in a red shirt dealt with it as it went into that corridor of uncertainty they like to call it on the edge of the six-yard box.

    Derby 0-0 Stoke

Derby go close, Bradley Johnson crashing an effort just wide from the edge of the box.

They've found their rhythm again after a shaky start to the half.

Stoke have been a bit more threatening with Mame Biram Diouf on, but right now they have their personnel surrounding their own box defending rather than swamping the Rams' end.

  7. goal

GOAL: Norwich 3-1 Hullpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Emiliano Buendia (60 mins)

    Norwich 3-1Image source, Rex Features

This is a brilliant goal, that very nearly didn't happen.

A fabulous flick from Emiliano Buendia sends Teemu Pukki through but he stands on the ball and almost falls over.

The Fin just about stays on his feet and calmly back-heels to the onrushing Buendia who sweeps home his second of the night.

    Surely that is that.

  8. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    QPR 0-0 Rotherham

Hour mark approaching at Loftus Road where there's still no goals.

Rotherham have shown some endeavour coming forward, but nothing clear-cut as yet to carve QPR open at the back.

  9. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Birmingham 0-2 Millwall

Close! Millwall only half clear a corner and it falls to Craig Gardner who knows how to volley a football.

His radar is off by inches and it stays 0-2.

By the way, he came on at the break so it's the Gardner Bros in centre mid for Blues now. The grass is always greener with them on the field.

    (I'm sorry)

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Preston

Middlesbrough throwing the kitchen sink at Preston in the second-half, looking to kill this game off.

Jonny Howson has passed a few chances up, while a cross from the left went straight through a crowd in the box and away to safety after another Boro raid.

Preston on the end of a red wave.

    Norwich 2-1 Hull

Any Leeds or Sheff Utd fans out there? An encouraging last five minutes for you lot.

Norwich wobbling a little bit as Hull are starting to step on to them and Fraizer Campbell in particular looks dangerous breaking down the inside left channel.

It's the Yorkshire union tonight - Fraizer's a Huddersfield lad.

    Nottingham Forest 1-2 Aston Villa

Plenty of noise at the City Ground in this second half where the home fans are doing their best to rouse their side to an equaliser.

Their owner Evangelos Marinakis certainly looks hungry for more goals.

  13. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Birmingham 0-2 Millwall

Birmingham think they're back in the game only for the flag to be raised!

A lovely ball played down the inside left channel by Isaac Vassell and Connor Mahoney finished across the keeper superbly.

All for nothing though. Encouraging signs for Blues however.

    Derby 0-0 Stoke

    MALONEImage source, Reuters

I had a text from my other half to say she'd come home to find our lurcher had got into the kitchen, opened the freezer door and eaten a selection of her vegetarian food products from a drawer in there.

That might sound like major digression, but to be fair, it's the kind of determination and endeavour needed by Derby to break down this dogged Stoke side.

Especially when Jack Butland is showing the kind of sterling dexerity and assuredness needed to keep them out, and when the Rams have started a little sloppily with some loose play.

  15. Postpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Norwich 2-1 Hull

Well that Hull goal on the stroke of half-time hasn't put the home side off.

Norwich start quickly and burst down the left, Onel Hernandez just takes a little too long to get his shot away and Hull keeper David Marshall has his angles just perfect to comfortably save.

This might come back to bite me but I just cannot see this finishing 2-1.

  16. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    Nottingham Forest 1-2 Aston Villa

Forest think they're level early in the second half but it's ruled out by referee Mike Dean no less!

Yohan Benalouane looks to have headed in a corner but there's a push in the six-yard box on Villa centre-back Kortney Hause.

Some of our 19:45 GMT games are already back underway...

QPR-Rotherham is, which, given the first-half damp squib might be the ref saying: "Come on lads, sooner we get this wrapped up, the sooner we can go home..."

    Let's have some goals please.

Derby blaring out Iron Maiden's 'Run to the Hills'. Nice.

More on that bizarre missed penalty...

Now Albion must know their luck’s in.

I have never seen anything like that on any football pitch at any level of the game before.

Bersant Celina’s penalty actually went backwards!

His standing foot slips, like John Terry and David Beckham famously did before him, and his right foot ends up slicing the ball so badly that the ball ends up behind him!!!

I’ve a funny feeling he hasn’t seen the last of that one.

All happening in the Champions League as well tonight.

Bayern Munich have just equalised in the Allianz Arena against Liverpool to make it 1-1 in the second leg of that last 16 tie.

A Joel Matip own goal has cancelled out Sadio Mane's opener just before half-time.

Meanwhile, Barcelona lead Lyon 2-0 which is the same score on aggregate.

Follow all that drama right here.

  20. MISSED PENALTY SWANSEApublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2019

    West Brom 1-0 Swansea

Swansea's Bersant Celina misses the chance to make it 1-1!

Mike van der Hoorn is fouled in the area and Celina takes the responsibility in the absence of top scorer Oli McBurnie.

But he slips as he's about to take it, scuffing his effort badly.

    HUGE let-off for the Baggies.
