  1. CLOSE!published at 21:30 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace

Palace could, and then should, be back in this! First Patrick van Aanholt clips a deep cross/shot on the run which is going to loop into the top corner but Hugo Lloris makes a very acrobatic stop. Good save!

From the following set-piece Palace cross for Christian Benteke, he has a tap-in but heads wide!

    Poor finish.

  2. Postpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

Great chance for Cardiff! They break away from a Manchester City corner and they have two-on-one from the halfway line. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing plays the ball at the right time, Oumar Niasse is away from last man Kyle Walker but takes a hefty touch, Ederson is on him fast and more or less tackles the striker. Played!

Crystal Palace stopped and Christian Eriksen got onto the ball and put it into the back of the net. Job done for Spurs.

    Tottenham 2-0 Crystal Palace

Both Spurs goals have come from Palace losing the ball cheaply, that will irk Roy Hodgson massively. I think Spurs would have been given a penalty had they not scored there, as Ben Davies leans back and shoots over.

Andros Townsend does have an instant impact - losing the ball to send Spurs on their way!

Harry Kane gets into the area and goes down under a sliding challenge, half the ground stops to look anxiously at referee Andre Marriner but all credit to Christian Eriksen, who plays to the whistle, picks up the pieces and fires in from close range.

    Game over now?

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

A Spurs fan tweeted in earlier to say he was waiting for Andros Townsend to come on and win this for Palace - well, the former England and Tottenham man is now on.

    Tottenham 1-0 Crystal Palace

21-3 on shots in Spurs' favour but they haven't tested the Palace keeper enough. Here they have a corner though - cleared.

Is it going to be a nervy finale for the home fans?

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 21:19 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

Is that a pen? Riyad Mahrez goes down in a heap after a bit of a scruffy-looking challenge from Bruno Manga but referee Jon Moss is unmoved.

    Did somebody score?

Not much chance you could miss a goal at Tottenham's new stadium...

Into the last 15 minutes. Spurs have not put the game to bed yet as Son hits a good effort at Vicente Guaita.

  11. Postpublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

Huge, ironic cheers from the visiting Cardiff fans as they celebrate a shot on target! Oumar Niasse works the ball on to his left foot and drills one straight at Ederson.

N'Golo Kante should make it four but he steers over from close range, as Brighton send on Glenn 'never scored on a Wednesday' Murray.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:12 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

Phil Foden puts Neil Etheridge through his paces again, the keeper tipping away a piledriver from 25 yards. Manchester City looking for a third.

  15. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

Unlucky! City - Manchester City - work a corner over from the left, John Stones helps it on and young Phil Foden gets his foot above hip height and clips a volley against the post and away.

    The dexterity of youth.

    Ruben Loftus-Cheek (63 mins)

That's even better! What a beauty that is!

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, from more or less the same spot where Eden Hazard just scored, bends a 25-yarder right into the top corner.

Eden Hazard with the assist this time. He'll do well to hit too many better than that.

  19. "Stand up for the champions"published at 21:05 British Summer Time 3 April 2019

    Man City 2-0 Cardiff

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

This has turned into the kind of stroll for City that could see their fans switch off, sit back and enjoy the show - they are not exactly needed as the 12th man tonight.

But they are actually in extremely good voice. We have just had a rousing rendition of "stand up for the champions" all around the stadium and the City supporters behind Ederson in the South Stand have kept up the noise with various chants since the second half started... the latest being that ode to Steven Gerrard famously losing his footing five years ago.
