From Brendan Rodgers' point of view, Leicester have a lot to play for. The team and individuals want to show what they are capable of. After the win against Arsenal they will be confident and have started to fall into a rhythm of how he wants them to play. I think they will make life difficult for City.

Rafael Benitez's Newcastle are hard to beat always, it is always a tough game.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk was named PFA Players’ Player of the Year last weekend.

And he says all they can focus on is winning their last two Premier League games.

“Anything is still possible,” he said.

“We have two games left. We’ll try everything we can to win both games - that’s the only thing we can focus on and if anything changes with Man City, it will be fantastic for us.

"If not, we end the season hopefully with 97 points and we did everything we could.”

What is the biggest ever points gap between two consecutive teams in the Premier League? Surely the potential chasm between Liverpool and Spurs is up there?

    Ally, Cambridge

That's a good question. Wish I had the answer. Second-placed Liverpool are 21 points above third-placed Tottenham.

    Mark Lawrenson
    Ex-Liverpool defender on Football Focus

Neither side [Manchester City and Liverpool] have changed the way they play which is great.

I’ve been to City’s last three games and every game has been the same – a tight first half and then in the second half it’s like the manager said ‘go and play’ and they have.

I can't see either Liverpool or Manchester City slipping up.

I highlighted three [difficult] games for City – Spurs, United and Burnley – and they didn’t flinch. Their game management is so impressive.

The way they’re handling the latter stages of games is incredible. Liverpool have got better as the pressure has come on. You can’t fault them either.

  10. 'The title battle could be over by Monday'published at 19:07 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

    Newcastle v Liverpool (19:45 BST)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

The title battle that's relentlessly traded blow by winning blow for weeks could be all over by Monday night.

That's if Liverpool fail to win - and at a ground where they haven't won in the last four visits.

This season is very different though, and it would be very cruel if their marathon Premier and Champions League campaigns were to end in the same week.

"This is football", as the top coaches often remind us.

The extra twist comes with Rafael Benitez.

It might prove his last St James' Park game as Newcastle manager (here we go again!) and, for all his Liverpool history and allegiance, proud Rafa will be desperate to win - and remain the last Reds boss to bring major success.

They trail 3-1 to Crystal Palace but need to win to realistically have a chance of staying up.

Liverpool's Champions League semi-final opponents Barcelona are also playing tonight.

But unlike the Reds, they have the luxury of having already won La Liga.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto all have the night off.

Barca's game at Celta Vigo also kicks off at 19:45 BST.

  16. Controversy in League Onepublished at 18:58 British Summer Time 4 May 2019

It's the final day in League One with relegation and title matters on the line.

And there's just been a controversial goal in a relegation clash between Plymouth and Scunthorpe.

Plymouth keeper Matt Macey rolled the ball out to the Iron right-hand side to put the ball out to get some treatment.

But it was returned with interest by Josh Morris, straight into the Argyle net! The ball loops right over the Pilgrims keeper.

Scunthorpe didn't give them a Leeds-style goal back either.

    Read about it here.

    Newcastle v Liverpool (19:45 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Former Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have lost once in the Premier League. I think Jurgen Klopp is rightly still so positive in terms of what he is seeing in the development of his team and the way they are playing. It is a positive season for Liverpool regardless if they come out with nothing.
