A few people are asking why Trent Alexander-Arnold wasn't sent off for his handball.

Fifa's laws say a red card in that instance is not a punishment for the handball itself, but because it would prevent a goal being scored. Since Newcastle scored the rebound, they weren't denied a goal.

Liverpool are looking comfortable at the moment after weathering that Toon storm and retaking the lead. Daniel Sturridge has a crack from outside the box but his shot is just over.

That was a really good chance but a really good save, doesn't matter what you stop it with.

I just get the feeling that every time Liverpool come forward there is lots of space for them to run into.

The cross was just an invitation for Salah, absolutely brilliant, curling right into Salah's path. His touch was very, very delicate but very, very good.

The Spaniard flicks the ball up and then rattles a powerful volley off the crossbar. Alisson was beaten.

The game has changed because Newcastle have changed, they are actually having a go. It's all about Rondon, he flicks the ball on or holds it up and it is up to the midfielders to get up there with him.
