Manchester City added the FA Cup to their League Cup and Premier League titles with an emphatic, ruthless 6-0 thrashing of Watford at Wembley.

Watford didn't come to park the bus and had a great early chance but City were just too good for them in the end.

Man City are just an outstanding side, probably one of the best we’ve ever seen. They will just kick on and kick on. They could win the cups and league for the next five to 10 years.

When you look at what they have done today to Watford, who are not a bad side, City could do that to most teams in the league.

They are easily going to be one of the best teams in the Premier League for the next decade, so it is up to the likes of Liverpool to try and compete with them.

Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling speaking to BBC on whether he scored the first goal: "I don't have a scooby-doo. The boys did brilliant. My goals added to the win. It was brilliant from everyone.

"I grew up here and saw this stadium get built. It's a massive dream come true to win trophies here.

"It shows what the manager is building here. He said we needed to get the mentality right and we did that and did it exceptionally well.

"It's been a long season with the World Cup as well but everyone has been on their A-game and come through."

On Ederson's early save from Roberto Pereyra: "In the final these kind of things make the difference. Ederson saved us at a key point at the beginning of the game, because 1-0 would have been really difficult for us."

Can City get even better?: "We have to, always you can improve. There is no sense to stay still."

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva speaking to BBC Sport: "It is an incredible feeling, to win all the domestic competitions for the first time is amazing. What a team this is, the fans were amazing, they pushed us all season. Now it is time to rest, to celebrate and next season we will try and win it all again.

"It doesn’t matter if we win 1-0 or 5-0 there is always space for improvement. Next season we will try to be even better and try to win even more titles."

Watford

Watford boss Javi Gracia on BBC: "In this moment everyone is really sad but we knew before the game we had to play the perfect game. We started well and we created the best chance after 10 minutes with Roberto Pereyra but after that they dominated.

"It was very difficult for us to press which is what we were trying to do. They were better, congratulations to them and we will try again next time.

"Maybe scoring that early chance - you need to take any opportunity - but after that, they are really good, they found the spaces.

"Today and for all the season, we have to thank our fans, they are amazing. Sometimes you have to lose to win in the future and we will try to do it next time."

Wembley is largely silent now, just the clattering of seats as stewards make their way through the 90k of them.

If anyone wants a yellow flag there's about 35,000 or so still in the stands...

Lyon continued their remarkable European dominance as Ballon d'Or winner Ada Hegerberg's first-half hat-trick against Barcelona helped the French giants secure a fourth consecutive Women's Champions League title.

Victory saw England's Lucy Bronze and Wales' most-capped player Jess Fishlock get their hands on club women's football's biggest continental prize.

Manchester United

Manchester United, who finished sixth in the Premier League, will now go straight into the Europa League group stages.

They avoid having to go through the qualifying rounds in July and August, which would have happened had Watford won.

Manchester City

Premier League champions, Carabao Cup holders and, after beating Watford at Wembley, FA Cup winners.

Manchester City's latest triumph means they have become the first team to complete a treble consisting of those three trophies, taking yet another place in the history books.

It means that - after also winning the league and Carabao Cup last season - they have now lifted five of the past major six domestic trophies available.

And if you count the Community Shield, as Pep Guardiola seems to, you can make that six out of seven.

The FA are saying that Raheem Sterling hasn't got a hat-trick as his opener is Gabriel Jesus', but the official match stats still say Sterling has got it.

Rhys Barker: I'm loving the comments from United fans banging on about 20 years ago after spending years mocking Liverpool for talking about the past. Luckily United's time is over and wont be returning so that white noise will fade away just like the club is.

Manchester City have set another new record - they've scored 169 goals in 61 games this season, beating their own previous best of 156.

Seth: While we applaud City for this feat, let's not forget that during the era of Fergie and Wenger, the League Cup was seen as an opportunity to give chance to youth - winning it was not made a priority. Pep has always played his big guns in the League Cup.
