Watford have gone from strength to strength this season. They've found a team which has given them foundations and that they can build on now.

It's sad for them that it ends this way but they've had a fine season.

I'm sure he'll do one more season at least. But it wouldn't be the worst way to bow out. He leads his side up to collect the trophy from Prince William.

What next for Manchester City? They need a left-back, a midfielder to replace Fernandinho at some point, a centre-back to replace Vincent Kompany at some point and to win the Champions League.

But they've just won the FA Cup final 6-0 without even asking Sergio Aguero to warm up and they've won back-to-back Premier Leagues with a combined points haul of 198.

Not too bad...

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne speaking to BBC: "This week was more relaxed. The first half was a little bit edgy but obviously with the 2-0 advantage, in the second half we played great, scored four goals and had more chances. What a great way to end the season.

"It feels like an honour. After the Tottenham injury, mentally I was done. But after a couple of days I really wanted to be back with the team to win the title."

Kelly: Congratulations to Manchester City, for slaughtering Watford in the FA Cup final and winning the treble, becoming the first team in history to win the English treble and the scary thing is they could easily be just as good next year.

Watford go up to collect their loser's medals. A very high percentage of Watford fans have stayed behind to see it, and quite right too.

"I grew up here and saw this stadium get built. It's a massive dream come true to win trophies here.

"It shows what the manager is building here. He said we needed to get the mentality right and we did that and did it exceptionally well.

"It's been a long season with the World Cup as well but everyone has been on their A-game and come through."

On their day Watford are a very good side but they are massively inconsistent. City made them look like a pub team.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany on BBC One: "As soon as we scored the two goals it opened up the game for us and we were able to make more chances. It wasn't as easy as the score makes it look. But what a season, what a tremendous club.

"It started with the manager, he sets the standard at the start of the season and said we had to go back to back.

"It's the best team in the world for me. To set such a high standard for so long - not just for one year but two years running now. What a club, what a privilege."

How did Tottenham beat them over two legs without Harry Kane?! Some effort.

There's a City fan on the pitch, tackled, as the Watford fans applaud their players for their efforts today, and all season.

Those fans have been magnificent today. They probably carried little hope of a win today but they will think back to that Roberto Pereyra chance and wonder what if...
