    Match of the Day pundit

Manchester City are one of the best teams we have ever seen in the Premier League, and Liverpool have run them close.

It’s been an incredible title race and both teams have done it the proper way - playing entertaining and exciting football and scoring a lot of goals.

Even with the pressure that both of them have been under for the past few weeks, they have not changed the way they played. Both of them coped with that pressure extremely well, it is just City coped with it a tiny bit better.

Ian joins Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker on the final Match of the Day of the season at 22:30 BST on BBC One and the BBC Sport website.

"We were in trouble a couple of weeks ago which shows the league is not easy but we showed character in finishing third and reaching the final of the Europa League."

    On Eden Hazard's future:

"He has been an important part of the club for the last seven years. Everyone here loves him and we would like him to stay with us."

Manchester City's players, management and backroom staff celebrate with their fans gathered jubilantly at one end of the The Amex Stadium.

The race is run and the best team always wins the Premier League - and that honour once more goes to Manchester City.

Truly astonishing to think that Liverpool amassed 97 points and still did not win the title.
