Tomorrow we'll find out whether they'll be facing Aston Villa or Derby in the league.

The Villans, beaten in last season's play-off final by Fulham, face the Rams for a place in the Premier League.

Derby finished one place and two points behind Dean Smith's side in the league and their superb comeback against Leeds in the play-off semi-final second leg suggests that Monday's final could be as tight as today's.

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer tells Sky Sports:

"I hope I'm here next season but obviously it's not my decision.

"I have done what I set out to do. We'll see where we go from here.

"We have to enjoy these moments because they don't come around often."

Bowyer, who has led the Addicks to promotion in his first full season as a manager, is out of contract next month.

That Charlton fans are still inside Wembley singing their hearts out. It'll be some party in south-east London tonight...

Charlton's on-loan full-back Ben Purrington adds to Sky Sports:

"The start couldn't have been worse but we grew into the game. There's no better feeling than to win it in the last minute.

"I've got a year left on my deal at Rotherham so we'll see what happens."

Charlton goalkeeper Dillon Phillips tells Sky Sports:

I've literally just seen the goal back now. It was a lack of concentration. I can't think Ben [Purrington] enough for getting us back into it.

"As soon as you make a mistake you just want to put it right.

It's unbelievable to be in the Championship. There's no better feeling than this. I'm over the moon. I've been here since I was a little boy and I want to kick on now."

This tweet from Newcastle is unlikely to do much to boost relations with local rivals Sunderland.

Charlton lift the League One play-off trophy that signifies their return to the Championship.

They suffered a horrendous start when Naby Sarr's backpass evaded goalkeeper Dillon Phillips to give Sunderland a fifth-minute lead.

The Addicks levelled when Ben Purrington tapped in Lyle Taylor's low cross before the break.

The game seemed destined for extra-time but in the last of four minutes of time added on captain Patrick Bauer crashed home from close range for the most dramatic of Wembley winners.

You can't begrudge them that after the start they had. The early goal looked like it had knocked them off their stride, but they got themselves back into it with a quality goal.

It could have gone either way but they kept knocking on the door.

The goal's gone in off the Sunderland defender Tom Flanagan and that is maybe the little bit of luck that they thought had deserted them in the first half.

Charlton fans celebrated riotously after that late goal ended their three-year exile from the Championship.

After full-time, Dillon Phillips stepped away from the pile-up in the centre of the pitch to apologise for his early error which put the Addicks behind.

The Sunderland players and fans are all dejected and their end has emptied out very fast.

Krystian Bielik adds to Sky Sports:

"It was a big mistake but he made an unbelievable save five minutes later. He was outstanding all season.

"We worked for this all season and now we finally go up

"The spirit here is unbelievable. I don't think there is a better dressing room. I can hardly speak."

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer tells Sky Sports:

"I can't put it into words. I'm so proud.

"To bring all this back together, it has been some season.

"There are things you can't control and their goal is one of those freak things but we showed our character to get back into it."

Charlton goalscorer Patrick Bauer tells Sky Sports:

"I don't know what to say. It's amazing.

"We worked hard all season and now we've done it. It's unbelievable.

"We only had 16 players for the first game of the season at Sunderland. All credit to the boss for getting us here."
