    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Jon Moss has a word with the third official - did look a bit handsy from the Toffees penalty box from Patrick van Aanholt's long throw a few moments ago - a bit of tugging and shoving.

Everton defenders, and the rest of the Premier League for that matter, will need to careful of those previously unseen incidents with VAR watching on.

Ps. Did you know Jon Moss had opened a music store in Leeds called Vinyl Whistle. True story. Read about it here.

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Martin Montoya flicks it over his opponent's head and coolly slips it through a gap to Pascal Gross.

Watford win the ball back immediately and Gerard Deulofeu tries a flick of his own. Still even stevens at Vicarage Road.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheffield Utd

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

This is the Sheffield Utd we got so used to seeing last season. They are rotating the ball between the attacking players and passing between each other.

  5. CLOSE!published at 15:22 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheffield Utd

Callum Robinson is invited to shoot in the centre and he does, drilling it low towards the keeper's right.

But Bournemouth's Aaron Ramsdale gets his hands behind it and pushes it safely away.

  6. Postpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Cheeky from Bernard as the diminutive Brazilian flicks it over Joel Ward's head inside the box, but the Crystal Palace defender does well to get a toe in and clear. Still goalless.

Josh Verrills: Not a Sheffield United fan by any means but disappointed to not see Ravel Morrison in the squad today; can’t help but feel this is his last chance in the PL and if he gets his head right at the club he will be the best player they have by a country mile.

  8. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:21 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Gerard Deulofeu runs at Shane Duffy and goes down under apparent contact in the box.

There's a few appeals for a penalty from the home supporters but not many from the players. Nothing in it.

  9. Postpublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

Almost 20 minutes gone and ZERO goals in all four games. Zzzzzzz

  10. Postpublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Gerard Deulofeu is back to defend in the right corner and he manages to win a throw-in with some nifty footwork.

Shane Duffy is then penalised for a foul on Troy Deeney and Watford have possession in the opposition half.

No one in the stadium ever thought that was going to stand, but it goes to the video assistant referee nonetheless.

Chris Wood tucks in, but the referee had already blown for offside a few seconds earlier.

It all came after Jack Stephens slipped, allowing Ashley Barnes to sprint into the box and square for his strike partner.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

First chance of the new season for Richarlison as Everton work a corner low into the box, one from the training ground.

The Brazilian sweeps it towards goal, but there's a wall of claret and blue bodies on the line to clear.

  13. Postpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheffield Utd

Eddie Howe's side are controlling possession at the moment. Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is his usual animated self on the touchline.

  14. CLOSE!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Martin Montoya and Jurgen Locadio have combined well a few times but this time it doesn't quite come off.

It does fall for Brighton teammate Davy Propper though, and the midfielder hits it first time from long range, skimming the air inches above the crossbar!

  15. Postpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Burnley 0-0 Southampton

Southampton skipper James Ward-Prowse gets a sighter from distance, but his fizzing effort from outside the box is well dealt with by Burnley keeper Nick Pope.

  16. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheffield Utd

Chris Basham and George Baldock try to link-up with each other down the right but Bournemouth's defence stands firm.

A few moments later, the Cherries try to break through Callum Wilson but his attempted through ball hits the heels of the defence. Poor in the end!

  17. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

It's all about new kits at this time of the season, but Everton are playing in last year's third shirts because of a potential colour clash at Selhurst Park - their new salmony/orangey/somethingy away kit was obviously deemed too close to Palace's claret and blue.

  18. CLOSE!published at 15:10 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Martin Montoya drills in a cross from the right which picks out Jurgen Locadia. He hits it first time but Watford keeper Ben Foster does well to gather it in.

  20. 'It's allowing Bournemouth control'published at 15:08 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

    Bournemouth 0-0 Sheffield Utd

    Michael Brown
Former Manchester City and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

They are happy. What they need to be aware of is Josh King, he is keeping the Sheffield United defence in their half. It is allowing Bournemouth to control the game at the moment.
