Troy Deeney, Andre Gray and Shane Duffy all challenge for the ball in the air and end up clattering into each other.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Everton

Huge chance at Selhurst Park, too!

You'd bank on Gylfi Sigurdsson burying a free effort from less than 10 yards out, but the Toffees playmaker fluffs his lines and scuffs wide.

Palace struggled to clear a Seamus Coleman cross initially and the ball was left bouncing awkwardly around the box when Sigurdsson arrived unmarked.

    Watford 0-0 Brighton

Gerard Deulofeu, who missed most of pre-season, is keen to get back into the stride of things at Watford.

He cuts in from the right and guides towards the edge of the box. He attempts a curler but gets it all wrong and it flies straight into the stands. Oops!

Expecting goals at Turf Moor? Well, Southampton's last two opening Premier League fixtures have finished 0-0. The Saints are kitted out in yellow and black today.

And that's an early chance for new boy Che Adams! He just can't quite pull a Yan Valery cross back on target at full stretch.

  17. Blades not here to 'make the numbers up'published at 14:55 British Summer Time 10 August 2019

Bournemouth v Sheffield Utd (15:00 BST)

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: "It's been a long way back [to the Premier League] and obviously there's going to be a lot of emotion around the fixture but we're professionals and we have to concentrate on trying to get a result at a very difficult place against a team and manager I have a lot of admiration for.

"Two out of the three that went up last year were relegated so we understand we will be up against it. But we will stick together and work hard for each other and we are determined not to just make the numbers up."

Tottenham v Aston Villa (17:30 BST)

    Micah Richards
Former Aston Villa and Man City defender on Football Focus

I did an interview when I retired and apologised to the Villa fans because they never got to see the best of me. My intentions were good when I went there under Tim Sherwood. It started like a house on fire, we were playing good football, and when the manager trained I had to do a (training) regime which my knee couldn't keep up with and it was a downward spiral from there. I never want to give up, and in my head I thought I could still do it. Coming to the end of it, I had an honest conversation with Dean Smith and he said 'look, your body's not in the physical condition I need it to be in', and from there, that's when I knew my career was over.

"We want players to be brave - it’s up to them to take responsibility. We know how we want to play but we also know we need to play properly."
