The first save was instinctive but the second was fantastic, down to his right-hand side. Some of the ball must have been on the line. It was fantastic by Ederson to keep himself alive to get that second ball.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
How has this not gone in!?
Pablo Fornals' cross from the right hits Javier Hernandez' thigh and bounces up towards goal.
Ederson does very well to scrap it away before Manuel Lanzini heads the rebound back towards goal.
The Brazilian keeper gets up quickly and palms that effort away too.
Crystal Palace v Everton (15:00 BST)
Crystal Palace
After all the transfer speculation this summer, including a rejected bid from today's opponents, Wilfried Zaha starts on the bench for Crystal Palace against Everton.
New signing James McCarthy, who joined Palace from the Toffees in the summer, is also among the Eagles' substitutes.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
Ederson tries to play a long ball forward to Riyad Mahrez but the Algerian has just run offside.
Excellent delivery though!
West Ham 0-2 Man City
Manuel Lanzini jinks his way through a few challenges but doesn't get past Riyad Mahrez on the left.
He's appealing for a foul, again, but the referee waves it away. City then give the ball away on the edge of the box and Lanzini finds it at his feet again.
He chips it into the back post but there's nobody attacking it.

That was a goal, a great goal. The fans knew it was a goal, the players knew it was a goal, but two of Sterling's arm hairs were over the line so.....

How many fantastic footballing moves and goals are going to be struck off by the new rules. VAR alone not the issue, just the rules it is being applied to.
George
I thought VAR was for clear and obvious mistakes?? millimetres in that and no advantage gained.. gonna have to start wearing skin tight shirts if that's the bar set.
Rob, Manchester

Clear and obvious error?! What a joke. Obviously no one will care as it's City but goals being chalked off for that are the beginning of the end.
Dan
Please tell me VAR hasn't been introduced to disallow goals where a striker's little finger is offside?! Absolutely ludicrous, and I'm no City fan, I assure you.
Ady, Leicester
So gone are the days of any offside "benefit of the doubt" to the attacking team. Absolute joke to disallow that.

West Ham 0-2 Man City
Sergio Aguero is going to come on for Manchester City in a minute too. Just to make things worse...
West Ham 0-2 Man City
The change is made and thanks to new rules, Felipe Anderson doesn't have to come off at the halfway line and goes to the nearest touchline.
That's bad news for West Ham.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
Felipe Anderson has gone down clutching the top of his leg and Javier Hernandez has been told to go for a quick sprint and is being prepared to come on.

Wale Ibraheem: We asked for it, we got it, welcome to the world of VAR.
Robin Schmitt: That's why VAR was introduced. Correct the errors that have been made as the margins are just so fine.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
Another one in the book. Felipe Anderson catches Aymeric Laporte late as the City centre-back hooks a clearance on the touchline.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
England boss Gareth Southgate is in London to watch this match. He'll be pleased to see Raheem Sterling on the scoresheet.

It feels right to West Ham fans though. That goal being disallowed has given them a lift.
West Ham 0-2 Man City

Robert Snodgrass, who replaced Jack Wilshere a few minutes ago, curls it into the centre and Issa Diop heads it inches over the bar.
West Ham 0-2 Man City
Manuel Lanzini takes advantage of some sloppiness at the back and the Hammers win a throw-in, which is received by huge cheers from the home support.
Aaron Cresswell is then fouled by Riyad Mahrez and they have a chance to swing it in from the left.
