    It initially looked like Issa Diop had poked it into his own net!

    Quick and painless with VAR there as 'VAR check, no penalty' appeared on the big screens with the announcer confirming the decision. Didn't stop West Ham fans booing loudly though.

    Its an encouraging start by the hosts, who are quick to put City's players under pressure. Certainly the Hammers fans are liking what they are seeing with almost every pass greeted with huge applause.

    Riyad Mahrez, who was given the nod ahead of Bernardo Silva, cuts in from the right and fires a powerful shot towards goal.

    It's down the middle but swerving through the air and Lukasz Fabianski can only palm it away for a corner. The resulting set-piece is far more comfortable to deal with.
