No sense of damage limitation for Bournemouth - with winger Jordon Ibe taking up a right wing-back role in a straight swap for Adam Smith.
It's a big season for Ibe - who arrived here in 2016 for £15m as the Cherries' then-record signing. Out of contract next summer, he had been linked with Newcastle before the domestic transfer window closed - and now faces 20 minutes of Raheem Sterling running down his channel.

Joshua King does exceptionally well to win a throw-in near the left corner, which Steve Cook will launch deep into the box.
He had four City defenders around him!
The throw-in from Cook comes to nothing though.

Philip Billing was taking his time getting up. It looks like it could be a head injury. It's a worry for Bournemouth, they have used all of their substitutes. He is back on the pitch but he does not look brilliant. He has barely taken his hand off his face since coming back on. Manchester City are in full control at the moment.

Who brings confetti, or ripped-up newspaper to football any more? Obviously a Man City fan does, as a little shower flutters down over the corner flag following City's third. The visiting fans are bathed in sunshine now in the East Stand. They may hate VAR, but it's looking like they're taking all three points unless Bournemouth mount a comeback on the scale of their 4-3 win over Liverpool here in 2016 when they had trailed 3-1.
Dominic Solanke and Jordon Ibe could be coming on in a double substitution for the hosts.

Kevin de Bruyne's cross from the right is aimed towards Raheem Sterling but Steve Cook just about gets there in front.
Sterling is caught by Chris Mepham though and it's a painful one for the City winger.

Rhys: I'm all for VAR but I just don't get it. Why is it so inconsistent. That was a clear penalty. But apparently isn't a clear and obvious error, yet we have seen several that weren't clear and obvious given! It's so frustrating that it's so unclear and inconsistent.
Danielle Scandal: That’s two penalties in two weeks not given to ManCity. In what world is that not a penalty? Silva is in an attacking position, he touched the ball and has his foot trodden on which impedes him.
Bournemouth 1-3 Man City
The more times you watch that penalty appeal, the more you wonder why that hasn't been given.
But unless anything changes, it won't matter anyway. Man City now have a two-goal cushion.
Sergio Aguero
Penalty? "We don't need one."
David Silva jinks his way into the box, tip-toeing past a few challenges before the ball pops up for Sergio Aguero.
The Argentine striker pokes it into the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season.

For me that's a penalty. It was difficult to see if there was contact but when it is slowed down, it is obvious that he stood on his foot. They must feel that it is not a penalty even with contact.
