    Burnley 0-2 Liverpool

Liverpool switch off momentarily at the back, allowing Ashley Barnes to squeeze a low pass into the area. Aaron Lennon is the target but he is a little slow to react and Andy Robertson makes the most of his hesitation to get to the ball and clear.

Jordan Henderson takes a knock to the thigh after going in late on a Burnley player. He looks to be really struggling, so Jurgen Klopp signals to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to get ready.

There's a comedy moment as Oxlade-Chamberlain sits frozen in position with his hands poised to pull of his training top as he waits to get the nod, but Henderson is up and OK to continue so the Ox is stood down.

Salah was caught in two minds there. He'd done so well turning two or three of their defenders. He dwelled on the ball and all of a sudden found himself on his right foot and fired the ball right into the keeper.

Another brilliant ball by Jordan Henderson sends Trent Alexander-Arnold away down the right but the full-back's cross is cleared behind for a corner. Soon after, an acrobatic effort by Roberto Firmino is blocked.

Its all Liverpool at the moment but no third goal to show for the second-half dominance.

Tom Bonnett: We all have a bit of admiration for Burnley, but they’ve been convincingly unimpressive

Johnny Ward: A point at Burnley away a couple of years ago was a solid result, now if Liverpool drop points here, the league is in jeopardy. The standard set by Man City is relentless

Fabinho is bumped off the ball by James Tarkowski just outside the Burnley box. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are over the free kick. Alexander-Arnold plays the ball low to Mo Salah on the other side of the area but Salah's shot is blocked.

Lovely football from Trent Alexander-Arnold. He shimmies past Jack Cork then flicks the ball through to Mo Salah but the forward has plenty to do from a tight angle and in the end finds the side netting.

Andy Robertson bends a cross behind the Burnley defence but it is too close to Nick Pope.

Just waiting for this half to really get going. A bit dull so far.

Mark Taylor: Re Duncan in Isleworth (18:14) who I think is missing the point. It is the best because the overall standard is so high, upsets occur every week, plus we did have three semi-finalists in the CL and both finalists in the EC, not too shabby.

On the current Liverpool squad: This team are here, for me, to break records. They’re a superb team, the first 11 is the best in business. I love the way Liverpool approach play and get the right players. They don’t go for the "superstars", if that’s what we can call them, but they buy players who get the job done and that’s what they’re doing today.

Virgil van Dijk is showing no ill effects from a midweek trip to Monaco to pick up the Uefa Men's Player of the Year award. He has been a rock at the back in this game and is the first to deal with another long ball aimed at Ashley Barnes.

Most of the pitch is in shade apart from the Burnley box, which is doused in bright sunshine. Its a bit problematic for Nick Pope, who has to squint when he takes a goal kick.

How problematic could that prove to be for the Burnley keeper?

For years Man Utd won on the back of fortuitous deflections, decisions and amounts of extra time... it was called brilliant before Fergie left. So can we not have the same credit?

Liverpool lucky? You guys are clutching at straws now. Goal was coming, total control.

Johnny Magrinho: Henderson is such a good player. One of the best if not the best captain for any team in the Premier League over the last few years. Van Dijk's influence has surely helped but he's got such an innate will and desire to improve, be the best and win. Born leader.

Urban: There's no sexier sight in the world then someone making an error in front of Bobby Firmino!

Only Sergio Aguero (18) has more Premier League goals in 2019 than Sadio Mane (16), who has scored four in his last three league games against Burnley.

Liverpool look in control now and you wouldn't bet against Mane adding another goal to his tally against the Clarets. Having said that, an early goal for the hosts could make things interesting.

Liverpool are very good value for the 2-0. Burnley are not out of the game, they’ve created problems for Liverpool, especially in first 15-20 minutes of the game. Liverpool have given away too many free kicks, too many corners but they’ve taken their chances going forward.

Liverpool have grown in confidence, the game isn't over but they're in a very good position.
