Connor Tovell: Gutted is an understatement. If Lo Celso and Sessegnon come in then it's still a good final day, but Dybala would have been that missing piece of the puzzle and a sign that we really mean business... Any time left to reignite that Fernandes deal?

Callum: If Dybala is off then there really needs to be a plan B from Levy...

Goon: Unless there is something we don't know that appears to be pretty poor behaviour by Juve. Apparently shop Dybala all summer then change your mind hours before the transfer deadline. Funny though.

Mikey: Sat in work, getting nothing done. Boss is a fellow spurs fan and she's agreed we can spend the afternoon in the pub having #businessbeers. Mikey, Cardiff. PS. ANNOUNCE DYBALA!

James Christopher: If we get one of either Sessegnon, Lo Celso, or Dybala, it'll be a pretty good day. Two of them and it'll be a great day, and if we get all three I might have to reopen negotiations to call my first born Mauricio...

  14. Argentine duo 'next step' in Spurs' development - Jenaspublished at 10:43 British Summer Time 8 August 2019

    Jermaine Jenas
    Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC News

Paulo Dybala and Giovani lo Celso are going to be very exciting for Tottenham fans. It's been a drought for them over the last few transfer windows but thankfully the club have come through and delivered, off the back of the Champions League final.

It shows they're about to take that next step, in terms of their development, and if someone like Dybala comes to the club, along with Lo Celso, I think it solidifies their top-four aspirations and gives them a better opportunity to chase the top two for longer this season.

Chris Arkwright: Chelsea fan here - If it's true Luiz was causing issues with Lampard then he has to go. He isn't going to solve Arsenal's defensive issues and will give playing time to Zouma, Christensen, Tomouri. Azpili can also cover CB if really needed. Though I love Luiz as a character.
