  1. 'Schoolboy defending'published at 16:00 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

Arsenal v Aston Villa (16:30 BST)

    Kevin Nolan
Former West Ham captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

Arsenal have been so flaky. Defensively, it’s schoolboy stuff. They’ve had the most shots against them in the whole Premier League and since start of last season they’ve made more mistakes that directly lead to goals than anyone else.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scores so many goals for them and yet they're nowhere near challenging for trophies. Unai Emery has to be more willing to change things that aren't working.

West Ham keep three consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since December 2017 under David Moyes.

  3. 'Chance to make amends'published at 15:59 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    Chelsea v Liverpool (16:30 BST)

    Steve Wilson
    Match of the Day commentator

It was a poor night for both Chelsea and Liverpool when the Champions League group stage kicked off on Tuesday, and few would have predicted that both sides would lose.

Chelsea's youngsters Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have started the season in such excellent form that a knock to Mount in the defeat to Valencia was greeted with dismay. Between them they have shared all 11 of the club's league goals this season, which is remarkable.

Liverpool - who edged an Istanbul shoot out against Chelsea to lift the Super Cup last month - should be relishing the chance to make amends for defeat at Napoli and protect their five-point advantage at the top of the league.

Right, our attention quickly turns to Stamford Bridge and the Emirates, where Chelsea take on Liverpool and Arsenal host Aston Villa.

I'll bring you reaction from West Ham's victory and that draw at Selhurst Park when it comes.

    FT: Crystal Palace 1-1 Wolves

Drama. Wolves didn't deserve to lose that game but that was terrible defending from Joel Ward.

He won't want to see that again.

  6. 'Man Utd are not good enough'published at 15:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Whatever Manchester United tried today didn't work and the problem is you just don't know what else they could have done or what they could do going forwards. The team and the substitutes - it's not good enough. It does not matter who your manager is. The group does not look good enough, that's the hard reality.

GOAL - Crystal Palace 1-1 Wolvespublished at 15:53 British Summer Time 22 September 2019

    Diogo Jota

    He's done it!!

Oh how costly that miss it from Jeffrey Schlupp!

The ball comes in from the right and Joel Ward completely misjudges it. He goes to ground in an attempt to nod it clear but it lands straight at the feet of Diogo Jota, who won't miss from a few yards out.

Adama Traore tries to make something happen on the right, cutting inside and turning away from trouble.

Instead, he sets up Ruben Neves, who fires it well wide of the right post.

Gotta say, a friend and I were looking at the Man U starting line up earlier, and we agreed it looked frankly mid table at best, and it's planned out that way.

    Nick, London

I really worry for Manchester United. I watched my club go into serious decline - from playing regularly in Europe to subsequent deterioration - and Man U are showing many of the same early warning signs. I can't help but feel like, at this rate, we might soon be competing at the same level again.

Jack Wilshere chases the ball into the corner under pressure from Fred. He loses out but keeps pressing before it comes off his leg and out for a goal kick.

    Seconds to go...

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Pat Nevin

There is just not enough creativity, there doesn't look like there is going to be goals and you cannot see where the goals will come from for Manchester United. Everywhere you look there are problems.

    Crystal Palace 1-0 Wolves

Cheikhou Kouyate and James McCarthy appear to get in each other's way on the left but they somehow get it past two defenders.

It's Kouyate who is running onto it on the left side of the box but he curls it straight around the far post.

There's very much a game over feel at the London Stadium. Man Utd are controlling possession but not really going anywhere with it.

West Ham are just happy to sit back and see it out. We're into stoppage time too.

Ben Kellow: Ole has to go. This is not good enough!

Thomas Knights: Ole has to go, he can't build a squad, he can't set a team up, he has zero tactical nous. He failed miserably at Cardiff and is failing even more miserably at United.
