Hamilton had started brightly, with Ross Cunningham having early chances. Killie then started to get a grip of the game. Kirk Broadfoot passed up a great chance - eight yards out but headed straight into the goalkeeper's hands. The home side have continued to press.

Another couple of excellent chances for Ross County.

Former Jag Blair Spittal wins the ball well before exchanging passes with Billy Mckay and blasting over, then Ross Stewart heads Marcus Fraser’s cross high over the crossbar as well.

Will the Staggies regret these misses!?

  4. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:48 British Summer Time 17 August 2019

    Forfar 0-1 Livingston

Forfar's goalkeeper is doing well to keep the deficit down to just one as we get to half time. A low strike from Lawless followed excellent wing play by Souda, who really made the chance. But McCallum got down well and kept the strike out with an excellent save.

The visitors do indeed pull a goal back before the break. The half-time oranges will taste all the sweeter as Bob McHugh reduces the deficit.

Really feisty battle for the ball there between Thistle’s Shea Gordon and County captain Marcus Fraser. Incidentally, it was Gordon who cleared that Draper header off the line so Jags’ fans will be grateful to the former Motherwell man for his heroics.

County are definitely making more in-roads in an attacking sense now. Ross Stewart dragged a good chance wide when played in by a lovely Michael Gardyne lob.

    Hibernian 2-0 Morton

    Alasdair Lamont

To be fair, this has been a smashing response from Hibs to a hammering last weekend. They’ve looked very dangerous going forward and this time, when Daryl Horgan got to the goal-line and cut the ball back, Josh Vela was there to smash it into the net.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Hamilton

Hamilton started pretty well, with Ross Cunningham having two early chances, but Kilmarnock are beginning to come into the game. Great strike from Stephen O'Donnell for the home side but a fine save to deny him, and then Aaron McGowan and Alex Gogic manage to block follow ups.
