But the work-rate's been excellent this evening, that's the difference. That's what Pep Guardiola demands. It starts from the front, especially when you have Gabriel Jesus at the top of the pitch.

Such a joy to watch Kevin de Bruyne play this well after his bad injury last year. He glides past a man on halfway, has a three-on-three counter and he's directing traffic as he runs with it. It doesn't come to anything in the end.

A permafrown on Kevin de Bruyne's face, nearly alleviated by a third goal as he dances inside two challenges and fires wide from the corner of the area. Unlucky.

City have the ball in the net again as Nicolas Otamendi nets with a cracking scissor kick but the flag was already up. It wasn't the defender who was off, I think it was Raheem Sterling in the middle.

It's brilliant to watch how quick City can change from defence to attack. How they've not scored again I don't know.

Ilkay Gundogan is probably too unselfish this time. City should be further ahead.

Thibaut Courtois is at his very best to save at his near post, tipped away from Pablo Sarabia. PSG are all over Real.

There was some uncertainty between Ederson and Fernandinho, but the execution wasn't good enough. Another let-off for City.

A rare lapse in judgement from Ederson in nets for City, perhaps Fernandinho playing back there leads to a breakdown in communication. Ederson comes way out of his area and Junior Moraes gets there first, he tries a lob but Fernandinho has got back on the line to make a clearance if needed. Good recovery.

City have started this half in utter control, just keeping the ball with ease to be honest. Raheem Sterling gets into the box but is well tackled and the hosts clear.

And they're off!

One-time Liverpool target Yevhen Konoplyanka is on for the home side.

Here come the sides once more. Looks like a change is about to be made.
