The Shakhtar coach has got to try to do something but that's the thing...what do you do? It's all right keeping hold of the ball but there's something missing. It's quite quiet in the stadium because they're not making opportunities.

It's turning into a bit of a nightmare Champions League debut for Atalanta at Dinamo Zagreb. Concede with their first ever shot faced and now trailing 3-0 at half time.

Elsewhere, Dmitri Barinov has restored Lokomotiv Moscow's lead at Bayer Leverkusen, and Kingsley Coman has given Bayern Munich the lead at home to Red Star Belgrade.

Anthony David Pletin: Is Hazard even playing for Real. Totally anonymous. Ironically for Zidane, Bale has been Madrid's best player by far.

Agubata Odinaka: I guess Hazard has gone sight seeing on the streets of Paris. Good decision! Best not to waste the evening on a wild goose chase.

I have to concur. A shame to see such a fine goal chalked off, but Gareth Bale has just gone close again, lashing wide from the edge of the box.

Matthew Mallett: What a stupid law that’s ruining the game deffo a goal

Paul: The current handball law is a ridiculous joke. that Bale goal should count. yeh it hit his arm but it wasn't deliberate and didn't affect the shot or anything else. not like he put it in with his hand.

Sho: The handball law is a joke. Honestly all these laws are ruining football and turning it into a joke sport. How can you disallow that? Bale's hand is literally at his side what is he supposed to do? Great goal disallowed for no reason.

I thought that Jesus pass was good but this is outstanding! Taison bends one down the line with the outside of his boot, Junior Moraes is in behind but can't get a shot away. He collides with Ederson and is in a spot of bother now.

Almost a third, and that's almost brilliant again. Gabriel Jesus plays a dream of a through-ball, he had a small window to play that and did it brilliantly. Kevin de Bruyne gallops on to it and curls first time - side-netting!

Shakhtar Donetsk have conceded 14 goals in their five meetings with Manchester City in the Champions League; the most they've conceded against an opponent in the competition.

It's because City are really good at football.

Riyad Mahrez was very unselfish and then the timing of the run by Ilkay Gundogan into the area. It was a brilliant finish. That was typical Manchester City.

    Ilkay Gundogan

A goal and an assist for Ilkay Gundogan. A goal and an assist for Riyad Mahrez.

Picturebook football as Mahrez cuts in from the right wing, Gundogan's third-man run is perfectly timed off the ball, Mahrez feeds him and the German just lifts it home with a bit of a toe-poke. Fine goal.

It was an incredible run by Taison. He nutmegged Rodri then somehow played a sliding ball into Junior Morais, but it was a tame effort and a let-off for Manchester City.

It definitely hit Gareth Bale's hand but it didn't affect the trajectory. Still, the goal is chalked off.

It was brilliant as well, Bale juggling the ball on to his right foot and lobbing in from 25 yards!
